UCLA New Grad Program 2010

Published

Has anyone heard anything back from the UCLA New Grad Summer Program for 2010? I applied in the beginning of February and have only had a phone interview so far, with no feedback yet. Any info or others' experience would be much appreciated, thank you!

Congrats to those who got the call so far!!! I keep hearing different things.. that if we move forward we will hear by this Friday, then other people are saying we will hear by next week. Does anyone know which is more accurate? Thanks! Congrats again to those who got a call. What units did you guys apply for?

When I called UCLA they told me by next week.. but they're not calling in any special order..so we still have time!! All we can do is stay positive for now! Congrats to everyone who got the call! I applied for the Liver Transplant/ICU, MICU, and the ADult ICU at Santa Monica. How bout everyone else?

@ktgrl1004 - Congrats on your interview! And thank you for updating us. Did the number that called you happen to be a blocked number? I got a missed call around the same time (and I never get any blocked number calls) -- no message was left though. It was a little after 8pm, which was 11pm my time. Its been bugging the hell out of me ever since-- since I don't know who it was! Also, which unit did you apply for?

i got the call! i was given one unit of choice, so i chose cardiac observation unit.

i'm meeting with the recruiter next saturday in a building on Wilshire Blvd. and they told me after that interview, i can take a shuttle to the hospital for the interview with the unit director. BUT, i'm not scheduled to meet with the unit director until the following monday, so i don't know what the purpose of the shuttle is :/ haha

when i called yesterday, the lady said they will be calling people by the end of NEXT week, so ya'll still got plenty of time. gluck to you all!

ALSO, i got the call at night (310 area code), so just don't be surprised. i'm pretty sure the recruiter is working her butt off and working overtime!

Nursetee, good luck on your interview! Congrats!

Hi Sasa, no the number was not a blocked number. It had a 310 area code. =) So no worries. For the last cohort they went down a list in alphabetical order so if your last name is near the end then it might take longer. (I'm not 100% sure this is still the process but I'm near the beginning/middle "K". Hope that helps. Good luck Sasa!

@ktgrl1004 Thank you for the info! :) And best of luck on your interview... as well as everyone else who has been contacted thus far - that is wonderful news!

They told me there was no special order but it doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't do it in alphabetical order.. its the most practical way in my opinion.

Congrats everyone for getting interviews!! It's good to hear they are scheduling them in December and not waiting until Jan! Hopefully some of you get job offers at the interview :)

To those who have received a call so far, what letter does your last name start with? Just trying to figure out if they are doing it alphabetically this time around too.

Good luck everyone :)

Yes, I'm with "passionlove"....for those of you who got calls already, what do your last names start with!? Thanks!
