I am graduating this December 2010 as an ADN. I want to make sure I apply for UCLA's new grad program the day the application opens. Is there anyone else with this plan? Does anyone have the link to where this application will appear? I have looked at many informational screens but have not found a link to an application. I figured it might be on the UCLA job search site, so I opened a profile there. I do not live in CA, I am out of state. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I'm also applying to the UCLA new grad program tomorrow, in Peds (yay!). I applied last year in October but got put on the waitlist/rejected, haha. Now that I have my license hopefully I'll be more likely to at least get an interview!
Anyway, I have a question: Who do we address our cover letters to??? Every website says to address it to a specific person to make it personal, but won't more than one person be looking at the letter? I know the nurse recruiter is Sheri, but should I address the cover letter to her? To Whom it May Concern seems so impersonal. Help!
I started a Summer 2011 thread here: https://allnurses.com/graduate-nurse-forum/ucla-new-grad-536453.html#post4822599
Hi everyone,
I'm new to allnurses I applied to the program as well. I just got off the phone with Talent Plus. It was an interesting experience but nothing tricky. The interviewer was really pleasant and the questions gauge at your "talents", abilities, and personality. Just be yourself and answer honestly.. because some questions are accompanied by "why?" or "give an example" so be prepared to give good examples.
SNMN - I believe all UC systems require 3.0 or higher GPA, I'm not for sure.

The application didn't close yet... how is this possible?
Honestly were all just on edge. Everyone take a deep breath. There is still time and I had friend who was the last batch to get interviewed in July before she started in August... even though she was one of the first to apply.
Hey guys,
a friend of mine from Ohio just sent this... its nursing students at there graduation having a good time!

Usually if the new grad program wants the letter of recommendation on letterhead, they would state so. But UCLA has not. As long as your letter of rec is signed when emailed to you.. i think you'll be fine!
