UCLA New Grad one year program 2011

Published

I am graduating this December 2010 as an ADN. I want to make sure I apply for UCLA's new grad program the day the application opens. Is there anyone else with this plan? Does anyone have the link to where this application will appear? I have looked at many informational screens but have not found a link to an application. I figured it might be on the UCLA job search site, so I opened a profile there. I do not live in CA, I am out of state. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you oooitzsharon, that's what I ended up doing. The app was up by 9:15 am, you probably know that by now though... I woke up at 7 and kept checking it til then, ugh! Good luck!

I kept refreshing it and looking all over the page, so I was able to access it. This is my second time applying, and I'm not sure if it will work this time, because I got my BSN in May 2010, and by the time it starts, I'll be an old grad. :p

oooitzsharon, I'm an old grad, too :o.

Has any noticed a change in your status?

Yes, HoneyBeeRN.

My status now says I have been contacted for an interview...even though I still have not heard from Talent Plus. Maybe this means I'll be receiving my call soon!!

After the talent plus & reference check, they put mine back onto "contacted you for an interview." I called them and they said that it just means that everything is still being processed. Sad day, I thought it meant i was on to interview #2.. but that wasn't the case lol.

AHHHhh.. patience.. a virtue I must learn.

Goody86,

Have you heard back from Talent Plus yet? I'm sure it will be soon, it took a couple of days for them to call me after my status changed.

nursejaneRN,

I'm feeling the same way, but it does seem a little too soon to start calling people for 2nd interviews. I'm keeping my phone glued to my hips just in case.

patience is a virtue indeed! I applied on Wednesday so I probably won't be hearing back till April if at all!

HoneybeeRN,

I know just how you feel. I check my phone Qmin lol! but you know what they say.. a little OCD makes a great nurse ahaha. It's meant to be!

student4488,

Just be positive, that is all you can do. You've done all that you could already :)

I keep checking my status, but still not change. I'm really praying for something...

Thanks NurseJane!

I was wondering if anyone knew: does UCLA want you to bring your recommendation letters and resume at the in person interview even though you uploaded it when you applied?

student4488,

I remember reading from a comment in previous posts that UCLA is ecofriendly and do not want hard copies. But this can be different for every unit. Best to ask when you get the call for the in-person interview.

Thank you, HoneyBeeRN

is this anyone's second time applying to the program?
