I haven't seen many posts on GradCafe about acceptances thus far. So I'm still very hopeful. Nothing in the mail today for me either. I work tomorrow, but I'm off Monday and Tuesday-so maybe something soon. Good luck everyone!

Still nothing in the mail for me today. Starting to lose hope. But, still holding out!

I am not sure how the notification process is but from other schools I received an email notifying my decision status then and email with info about the program. I'm assuming it's the same. There's also the decision status login on their site if you want to check it out.
Most of the time at UCLA you get a letter via snail mail before anything in the email pops up; and the snail mail letter before your decision status login thing ever changes either. But I check both every day just in case. UCLA is my dream school-still hoping.
Does anyone know how many they accept for each specialty? How many for nursing admin, FNP, CNS, etc? Good luck at the mailbox today everybody!
Hey Izzymo; I have looked up this info. Here is the link to the information I have found about admissions stats. It's not discipline specific (doesn't break it down into fnp, admin, etc.)..but it's a start.

Very helpful, thanks MarskinRN!
Got an upsetting letter today.....I was informed by the dean of student affairs that admissions to the Nursing Administration program is suspended indefinitely due to the sudden death of one of the faculty. Due to this, they are rethinking the nursing admin program, possibly offering a Nursing Leadership with an emphasis on Health Systems program instead. She told me this probably won't be happening until fall 2014.
So I'm pretty much in severe disappointment right now, as I didn't apply to any other programs. I had my heart set on this school....everything happens for a reason I guess. Good luck everyone!

So sorry, izzymo. That's bizarre. It's strange to think that an entire program of study could rest on the shoulders of a single faculty member. I know that the UCLA nursing program is relatively young, having been shut and then reopened in the last decade. That may be why the programs are so fragile. I already mentioned that the underserved populations subspecialty has been scrapped for this cohort...I don't know, maybe it is best to wait until they have things more straightened out. Best of luck to you.
I am so sorry izzymo-that's very upsetting. Perhaps you are right, though-everything does happen for a reason. Best of luck to you and all that is to come.
I still haven't received anything in the mail. Still have my fingers crossed. Getting more and more anxious by the moment.

izzymo,
So sorry to hear about your delay in acceptance. I wish you the best. I on the other hand am still waiting and am starting to loose hope. I have a feeling all the selected students were mailed already. I hope I am wrong though! Good luck to everyone.
