I applied to the FNP program at UCLA and am waiting to hear back as well. I've been seeing previous cohorts on here talking about when they rec'd their acceptance/denial letters and it's been as early as March 22nd-that's next week!

I'm anxious to hear back as well, I applied to UCLA and Cal State LA.

Funny, I just came here to start this thread! I applied to UCLA FNP for Fall 2012. Made the priority deadline. I applied to UCSF and haven't heard anything from them either.

Reviewing the 2011 UCLA FNP thread, the earliest people heard anything back was around...today, actually, and the acceptances/ rejections rolled into early April.

I haven't really sweated it too much until this week, but now I'm getting a little nervous. I'm so ready to move on in my practice!

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed! Please post when you guys get a response!

hey guys, how many years have you worked as an RN? i'm on waiting list for UCLA MECN and if i don't get in this year, i'm planning on to do accelerated BSN from CSUN, get my RN license, and then apply to UCLA MSN program right away. i'm not sure if UCLA wants you to work before applying for MSN or not. thank you!

Hello jungdt,

I attended an orientation session prior to applying for the accelerated program for FNP. At the orientation session they stated that they accept a larger amount of nurses that have been working 5 plus years. It was discouraging as I have 5 years experience (3 as an LVN and 2 as RN) but per the advisor they did not consider my time as an LVN as a nurse :nono:. But good news! It is not always the case. I work with a gal who got into the PNP program after working only one year as an RN.

Good luck. Do what you have to do, If you really want it you will achieve it!

I am waiting as well. I applied to the FNP program for this Fall 2012. The suspense is making me koo koo.

I've been a nurse for 4.5 years. I've heard both sides: experience over going straight through and vice versa. I guess it just depends on the admissions committee.Based on past posts on when acceptance lettets have been sent out, we should be hearing something within the next few days!!

Got my letter of acceptance for FNP from UCLA today. I live in LA.For those who applied for the underserved populations concentration, they are not offering it for this cohort.I have to let them know my decision by 4/2. I haven't heard from UCSF yet, but UCLA was my first choice anyway. I'm excited!

Congratulations Pachinko!! Did you apply in time for early decision deadline?

Yay!! Congratulations pachinko! :-)In New Mexico... If I get anything, I might get it tomorrow or Friday..I applied for the MSN in nursing admin.. Good luck everyone!

Yay!! Izzymo, at least you have heard from a program and you can start fall regardless. But I am certain you will hear from UCLA soon. :)
