Hi everyone! I have started working on my application for the UCLA MECN program for Fall 2022 and didn't see a forum so I decided to make one so we can experience this process together and help each other out!! ?

Received my rejection letter today. I am somewhat bummed about the news, but oh well. Got straight A's in all of my science pre-reqs, did volunteer work, completed a CNA program in December, my overall GPA was a 3.8
But as I've heard in the past "rejection is redirection to something better."
Yes, I agree with this wholeheartedly! This is my second application cycle and got rejected last year as well as this year by almost all schools except Johns Hopkins. You can absolutely do get through this you guys as long as you keep working hard to achieve your goals. You've already come this far.
It also takes a village to become a professional in our field. If anyone needs any help or would like extra support to be a stronger candidate in the next cycle, please feel free to reach out to me on IG: @hannahmaebelle ? I'd be happy to share my experiences and stats!

Q1: Lab either Mon or Tues and Saturdays. The labs have multiple time slots, so I can't give you a set time. The earlier your registration the better chances of you making your schedule. Lecture Wed-Fri. Lecture times will change every year, but do expect to be in class 4-6 hrs. You can work in Q1 if you time manage.

Another program I am considering has their master's entry students take some classes with their BSN students. I was curious if this was the same at UCLA or are we solely with our MECN cohort?
You will share lecture classes with BSN students in the first 2 quarters.

You can try Azusa Pacific University ELM program or Concordia University Irvine ABSN.

University of San Francisco has an entry level MSN program. They admit 2 or 3 times per year I believe and have two campuses - one in Orange County and the other in SF.

Thank you - Best of luck to you! I agree, although only 70 spots and hundreds of apps, I think UCLA possibly misses out on some gems because they don't conduct interviews like other programs. It's solely based on how you look on paper.

@CindyV hey Cindy is this your first time applying? I have pretty much the exact same stats only I completed my program in august and was able to add my experience to my resume and work it into my papers. Don’t get discouraged keep on pushing and you’ll eventually get through.

My personal statement isn’t showing either
