Hi everyone! I have started working on my application for the UCLA MECN program for Fall 2022 and didn't see a forum so I decided to make one so we can experience this process together and help each other out!! ?

I finally got my decision letter today at 11:08 PM PST! Check your emails!

Yeah, I got the notification around 11:08pm to check the application portal, and it was a rejection letter. I'm so sad because I thought I was a competitive applicant. Good luck to everyone got accepted!!

yep got a rejection letter as well. I’m absolutely gutted. I should be taking this better but I’m pissed? I had near perfect grades and somehow couldn’t even make it on the waitlist? I’ll be OK I guess. Congrats to everyone that got in.

Just received my rejection. I was sent an email to check my portal for a status update.

They made us wait longer and till 11ish pm all to reject us.

Yay I got a rejection letter finally too! HAHA. Now I know I'm for sure going to WesternU ?

I'm also very surprised I didn't even get onto the waitlist. But onwards!

Still waiting on mine, but I checked my application proof and on the personal statement section its an empty page but my statement of purpose it filled. Is this an error in the system or did it not upload my personal statement? Does anyone else have this issue?

Congrats on Western! I’m just bummed because ucla was my choice! I’ll be OK though. Like you said “onwards!”. They’re missing out on a couple of amazing students and they’re gonna have to live with that. That’s on periodt

Does anyone know of any accelerated nursing programs or programs for people that have a previous degree already that accept more than once a year?

I feel the exact same way! I keep trying to not take it personally but like I spent the last 2 years working 50+h a week in the hospital with no staffing, no PPE, and on my only days off I volunteer at the food bank and local clinics, I had great letters of rec from MD and RN only to watch others with 0 medical or volunteer experience get in no problem? IDK what they're even looking for in an applicant but apparently its not me and I'll have to get over it but I'm just so sad.

Hello All, 

Received my rejection letter today. I am somewhat bummed about the news, but oh well. Got straight A's in all of my science pre-reqs, did volunteer work, completed a CNA program in December, my overall GPA was a 3.8

But as I've heard in the past "rejection is redirection to something better."
