Hi everyone! I have started working on my application for the UCLA MECN program for Fall 2022 and didn't see a forum so I decided to make one so we can experience this process together and help each other out!! ?

I haven’t heard anything from them. My friend got an acceptance letter already. I don't know if we haven’t received any emails from them because the decision letters get released in different batches or what, but it wouldn’t make sense since there are people already know they’re on waitlist

I read in previous threads that some of the acceptance letters went to peoples' spam folders in years past.  Folks may have already checked their spam but if not it's worth a shot and wanted to throw it out there just in case.

I checked my spam but still nothing

I was admitted to the program and was notified yesterday.  Hello future classmates!  If you don't want to wait to take Epi in the Summer UC Berkeley Extension offers a self-paced program starting at any time.

Right after 8 AM

I haven't received anything either which I think is very likely a rejection unfortunately ? Hopefully we will get an email or status update on our app portal soon so that we know officially.

Any thoughts on the chances of a #8 waitlist person getting in?

Yea I wanted to think positive, but a part of me already realizing that it’s more likely a rejection. I just want to hear back from them for closures. I hope you get accepted to other schools!!

I think you have high chance of getting in since there are many people declining to accept offer from other schools

Yeah closure would be great. I got accepted to WesternU this past week so I think I will be going there. I only applied to those two and was planning on applying to USF in March if I didn't get into either. UCLA was definitely my #1 choice though. How about you? I wish you luck!!

OMG congratulations on getting into WesternU! I will have an interview with them on the 17th. Hopefully, I will get accepted. Any tips to prepare for WesternU? I was thinking the same, I would apply to USF if I don’t get into UCLA or WesternU!

Thanks! It's hard to say because I did the EAO day and I'm guessing the formal interview will be very different. I would say they seem to care a lot about who you are as a person rather than your qualifications, since they already know all of that from your app. So if you are genuine and really show your heart is in it, I'm sure you will do great ?

Congrats to everyone accepted and I hope those who are waiting hear back soon! ?

Can someone who is currently in the program share their experience so far? Ie. How well do we get to know our classmates?

Does your cohort typically have study sessions together?

How often do you go to clinicals per week and how is the traffic? 30-40 minutes one way?

How close should we live to campus? Any apartment recommendations for those not familiar with LA?

Thank you!!
