UCLA MECN 2021

Hi everyone!

I am planning on applying to UCLA's MECN program for 2021 and since I did not see a thread here yet I wanted to get one going for us to share questions and concerns. Good luck to everyone!

Yes, it is time to distract myself with Spanish and/or another course.

I emailed Jeimy last week with an update on my volunteer service and she said she would pass it along to the committee on Friday. So that sounds like it's going to be a little while longer if the committee is still in review.

I emailed last week Tuesday. Friday of last week she sent the update.

The waiting game is killing me here. My boss keep asking me if I heard any update so I can give him my last date ?. I already start looking for apartment near another school that already accept me. At this rate I am probably 85% set on attending Columbia @@

My boss was the same, all January "did you hear anything?!" "when do you find out?!"  Finally I told him I wouldn't find out until end of March for all schools now I am able to "enjoy" my anxiety in peace!!

Wow Columbia! That is amazing congrats. Talk about a dream school/opportunity - NY and Columbia. Way to go!

I’m with all of you! my anxiety everyday is so bad. I’m expecting the worst but hoping for the best.

Thank you so much for everyone's kinds words! TBH, UCLA is my 1st choice because they have a smaller cohort and their program perfectly aligns with my goal to become a public health nurse. But since the program at Columbia starts in June, they pretty much already set the ball rolling with housing applications, etc. So far I have only been in contact with them and I am getting tired of waiting for other schools ? 

That being said, I am not sure how LA is handling their Covid surge, it seems like they have it worse than other city in CA @@
