Hey, I am currently getting ready to apply to the UCLA MECN program. I went to UCLA yesterday to meet with the nursing advisor and since I have 2 C's, one in psych and one in Stats, she advised me to repeat one of them because I can't have more than one C on my transcripts. I plan on taking Micro this fall. In terms of work experience, I work with an agency facilitating care for end of life patients. I really want to get into the UCLA program but I will also be applying to CSULA, CSUN, CSUCI, CSUSM and USF, Western and
Anyway, I just wanted to create a thread for those applying same time as I so we can discuss. Fyi I will be attending the info session on July 26!
I really want to specialize though so I'm kind of bummed that the MECN doesn't offer a specialty, I would have to do a post-masters program.
How many classes can you have in progress when applying?
If a class is repeated, do they average the two or disregard the lower grade totally?
How much is the program in total?
Do MECN graduates make more in terms of salary than BSNs?

Hey everyone, I have submitted my application, but didn't attach a resume. I hope it won't be an issue.Pls who understands this application? I dnt know where to start checking the status of my recommendation list. Pls how do I navigate to that.
log in and open your submitted application. You will see a review page of everything you did. Scroll down and under each recommender's name it will say either the date you sent them the request for recommendation, or the date they completed the recommendation if they have already done it.
HELP! Is anyone else having trouble finding the "Submit App" button on Decision Desk?!? My app is completely done, and it even says 100%, but I literally cannot find the button to submit it. It still thinks I am working on it. I tried calling the MECN office and Decision Desk, but no luck. Has anyone else had this issue?
If not, can someone point me in the right direction to find the button? I feel like I'm going crazy lol.
PNPplease, try going to the "Nursing" section (choose from the column of icons on the very left hand side -- it's the last one). At the bottom of this section, there's a "Review" button. From the Review page, I clicked "Final Submit". Let me know if it worked or not?
YOU ARE A LIFESAVER. Thank you so much. For anyone else submitting today, I called the office and let them know what's up. I think they have been getting a few other calls about the confusion, so hopefully this will prevent them from getting too many more calls. Follow madninjaskillz directions if you want to avoid panic mode :)
argg the decision desk timestamp is 6 hours ahead. I submitted on 11/01/16 at 9:16 PM PST and the timestamp says 11/02/2016 4:16 AM. I don't know if that will count me out of consideration, but heads up to any of you who turned it in this evening or haven't yet.
They mentioned this at the info session. They are aware that the app is in Eastern time, you should be fine
Goodluck everyone! Sending positive vibes out to you all as we have a long waiting period ahead of us.
For those of you who are aware that their reference writers have submitted to Decision Desk, does your "review" page of your application change and indicate when they sent it in? Mine still says the date I sent the link and a "re-send" button. Thanks!
