UCLA MECN 2016

Hey there, I am planning on applying to the UCLA MECN 2016 program and was wondering if anyone else out there was applying as well. Just curious about other applicants and hoping to go through this application process with some other people! Would love any feedback. Thanks :)

Hey guys, I popped into SON after class and they *may* start admitting students next week. I guess the accepted students have a couple of weeks to officially SIR. They also told me that sometimes people still SIR but are waiting on other schools so they have admitted people all the way throughout the summer before. So, as painful as the waiting is, even if we don't hear back soon it's not over!

@mrisajne Thanks for the update! Did they happen to mention how many were on the waitlist (40/50?) Do you mean that those accepted submit an SIR then back out because they choose a different nursing program?

Yes, sorry I didn't mention that. So, they accepted 70 people and there are 50 people on the wait list. And yes, I meant that some people may SIR and then back out later when they find out they got into whatever school they were waiting for. I don't know how likely that is, but that is what they told me. I was also told by someone else that generally speaking, at least 10 people off the wait list get in each year. Unfortunately, I don't know anything more than that and am waiting just like everyone else, but hopefully that helps with some of the anxiousness!

I just received my admission letter to the Program!!! Thank you my lord for this glorious day!

For those like me wanting more information. I was 5th on the wait list before getting my online letter this morning at around 11:00 a.m

Congrats! Man, this wait for me has been horrendous. I was admitted to the program but haven't received notice from UCLA (I wasn't on the waitlist). Did you get the official notice too already? Just curious so I can gauge what is going on, I was just told to wait but either way freaks me out a bit.

I've just received my admission letter as well!!! GOD IS GREAT! Have you completed the SIR and SLR? I am a bit confused as to where it may be. I am clicking on the link and have registered for MYUCLA but I cannot find these forms?
