UCLA MECN Fall 2014?

Hi- Is anyone applying to UCLA's MECN program for next fall?

We were told from the beginning to expect to hear mid-March. I think the March 1st info was b/c last year some people did hear that they were not accepted starting March 1st. Anyway, I was always told mid-March and last week the Admissions office told me mid to late March. I looked back on threads from 2013 and 2012 and it seems to differ every year. We are all but pawns in this game!!!!

I was told by the admin office to expect the end of the month but they were trying to get it in sooner. Who knows!

I am in "the know" as to when we will find out! Wait for it.....when they finish processing app's, lol. People relax, there is nothing that stressing over it is going to accomplish. I am anxious too but it will most likely be the end of March. That I was told face to face by one of the 2 student affairs officers. They will try to make it sooner than that I'm sure but I would be surprised if it were sooner.

Do you guys think the admission readers read the application as a whole? or they delagate one person to read the personal statements,score them, and then another person to read the letter of recs, score them, etc and at the end add the scores together? What do you guys think?

I think they read them as a whole. From what I've gathered, there are only 2 people doing all the reviews. I've heard that it is usually 3 but one is out for maternity leave... hence the delay in responses.
