UCLA MECN Fall 2011

I saw that the MECN application for UCLA has been posted today. Is anyone applying to the Fall 2011 program?? I haven't found a thread going on yet...Maybe we can share our questions/concerns regarding the application process here.

Congrats to everyone!! I had the same concerns, but it all worked out in the end. Beyond that, does anyone know when we will have access to view our LORs? Super excited...

I don't know. I waived my right to view the LORs. Is there anyone who still is working on their BS/BA? I will be finished in May and was just wondering if anyone is in the same boat?

I'm still working on my BA as well. I will be finished 12/17/10, but my degree will not be conferred until sometime in February because they have to review everything. I hope this does not decrease our chances of acceptance.

I just submitted my application and it was stamped with Nov. 2nd... Since they processed it as EST. It is still Nov. 1 where I am. Does anyone know if this will create a problem? I am so nervous now! :(

I emailed and asked about this and they said my app will still be reviewed and to not worry... Just in case anyone is wondering the same thing!!!

I hope they doesn't decrease our chances either... I've worked my butt off the past two years just so I could apply to UCLA and I hope my application shows that. Anyway, I am just going to keep thinking positive!

I just wanted to wish all of you the best of luck with your MECN applications. It seems like yesterday I was in your shoes. I am currently in the MECN program and I just wanted to offer to answer any questions any of you might have about the program or anything else I might be able to help with. I wish I had time to check allnurses sooner to help with apps because it was very helpful to me during the process, but as you can imagine I have been pretty busy. Again, good luck and I hope you all get in!

Hi Everyone!

I am a re-applicant to the program. It was the only program I applied to last year while having pre-reqs in progress. I felt like I was a strong candidate then but feel like this time around I have more to offer. :-)

I have two friends in the program that are in their second year. They are really enjoying it and say it's an amazing experience.
