UCLA MECN Fall 2011

I saw that the MECN application for UCLA has been posted today. Is anyone applying to the Fall 2011 program?? I haven't found a thread going on yet...Maybe we can share our questions/concerns regarding the application process here.

Curious, has anyone heard of someone getting accepted with their prerequisites in progress? I have a few that need to be completed. Just throwing it out there..

Hi, thanks for your offer, I just applied to the program for the first time, I am science graduate from India, what you think it would be good idea to go for MECN, how hard the program is and what are the chances of acceptance,

Yes, it happens! ... and I know it happens more often than with other programs because MECN is one of the few that allows it! I also have some classes left and remember they said at the info session that it was fine but that if you had ZERO completed the odds would be low for being accepted.

Yes, I did apply for Fall 2011. Thanks so much for the response! I'm glad I'm not alone. I have about 3 science classes left but will be finished by the end of this spring.. so crossing my fingers!

Hey y'all...did anyone else get the incomplete application email recently? Was whatever they mentioned actually missing in your application?

Nope haven't heard from them yet. I was told on Nov 12, that in the next few weeks they would be sending emails as they review each application to check for completeness. I emailed the counselors and heard back 2 days later, but I'm sure you can give them a call to find out. Hopefully its something you can still send in...this whole application process has been a pain :sstrs:

All i received was a "your application is complete" email.

Yay TV2NURSING! That does have to be a good feeling :) Mine was just a rogue unaccounted for recommendation that just wasn't officially deemed received by them but definitely in the system as of a couple weeks ago. You know, late recommenders!!
