UCLA MECN Fall 2011

I saw that the MECN application for UCLA has been posted today. Is anyone applying to the Fall 2011 program?? I haven't found a thread going on yet...Maybe we can share our questions/concerns regarding the application process here.

My Application status still says "submitted."

I applied at USD but just found out today I either got denied or waitlised :(. I think it was because I am missing two of their pre-reques, but I have all of them for UCLA so I hope I have better luck. If I dont get into UCLA I will apply at CSULB, that is my last resort.

I also applied to USD, Samuel Merrit, SFSU, fullerton, and USF. Do you know how many applicants they had this year?

Yes I am betting she was too... It's just too fishy... But anyway good luck to everyone!!! I hope I get to meet a lot of you, especially because this is like our support group!

Could it be that she got into the BSN program?

I was going to apply to Mt. St. Mary's but they had some dumb prerequisites (or at least some I thought were dumb) like religious courses- I have a MS in Bio - I felt that should be sufficient but I guess not. How was the application process there?

I applied to Duke and UNC Chapel Hill (both in NC). Just a little more waiting!

I didn't get into USD either Bethany. But all is not lost, I did get accepted at Vanderbilt. Still waiting to hear from USF, Mass General and UCLA.

Well BuMan I was a little dissapointed because I have worked my butt off to get all my stuff done. My grades are excellent so I am a little suprised. Were you at the Interview earlier this month? Congrats on Vanderbilt! its nice to know someone will take you.

Ocennia, I am from NC so I really hope you get in there if you dont get in at UCLA. ITs such a beautiful place and both of those schools are excellent.

buman, i don't know if it was the bsn program but the more i think about it the more i think she is lying. if it were true, i would think some other people on this forum would have heard something too, not just her.

Yeah I had to take a religion class. That was kind of annoying, I agree. Wow you have a MS in bio? Impressive. I have a bachelor's in bio. Definitely some strong applicants on this forum. The application process was very simple, the easiest of all the schools I applied to. They're very quick and everything is electronic.
