UCF 2021 Traditional BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Thread for UCF ‘21 Traditional BSN ❤️
I sent my application in literally at 12:00 am on February 1st... is this application wholistic or first come first serve? Also... does UCF look at your transcript with grades from this semester?

Aside from that, lmk what your GPA’s and TEAS scores look like. I am way too insecure to post mine and am not sure where I am at. First choice is Daytona, then Orlando, then Cocoa.

Just got an email today from nursing advising asking me if I was interested in any other campuses because as of now I am waitlisted for the Orlando Campus. (Orlando Campus is the only one I applied to). They also said that it is “highly unlikely” that anyone would be accepted from the waitlist this year. Decisions haven’t come out yet so I think they were just giving me a heads up. After doing some research I found that going to Daytona or Cocoa wouldn’t be half bad so I emailed back saying that I was interested in either of those . Still waiting for a response. Very surprised that I was waitlisted tho with my stats and already being a UCF student.won't know for sure until decisions tho I suppose.

Overall GPA- 3.94

science pre req GPA- 4.0

TEAS-92%

How do you know that??? That’s crazy they said you were waitlisted.. wow this just freaked me out.

For the traditional program or the ABSN?? I’m surprised that you were told already if it’s for traditional. Hopefully more people will get off waitlist than they think!

ABSN passed, I’m sure she might for traditional. Anybody else think it’s unfair they will consider ucf students for daytona/cocoa if they didn't apply to those campuses before this late after the application ended?

They sent me an email today. It was for the Traditional BSN program. I only put the Orlando campus when submitting my application which is why they sent me that email. They sent it today to ask if I wanted to be considered for any other campuses before being waitlisted. And they said in the email. “As of right now you will be waitlisted for the Orlando campus and it is highly unlikely that anyone will be accepted off the waitlist this year. Would you be interested in the cocoa and/or Daytona campus”

Yes the traditional program. And they said anyone getting off the waitlist is “highly unlikely this year”

Great.  Now I'm sweating... sigh LOL.

I know when I attended a CON info session, Advisor - Donna Mercado mentioned that they prefered either current UCF students or those who have taken Anatomy/Physiology at UCF.  Although I think it sucks, I get why they would prioritize current UCF students to transfers.

I know last fall there was talk on the 2019 UCF Traditional thread about UCF students with lower scores getting in versus higher scoring transfer students.  I was warned about this and tried to plan accordingly. (Minus the 26% increase in applicants ?). To be honest, I think it's about money because they are already students in attendance adhering to UCF academic standards and some are in on campus housing etc...

On one hand, it's a positive sign that decisions could go out soon.  On the other hand,  its nerve wracking and I admit to logging in to check statuses more than I want to. LOL

Best of luck to every one and don't give up!

There are other programs, especially in the Orlando area coming up soon for applications deadlines in May.

What other programs are available in the area? I just want to make sure I have a back up plan in worse case scenario and I know private institutions can be upwards of $9000 a semester. ?

Vc/ucf and scc/ucf concurrent! Honestly tho with your scores id be shocked if you didn’t get in. You could try USF too! Competitive, but your scores are great.

Are you a transfer student by chance? Our stats are just about exactly the same (my TEAS is a 94.7%) and this post made me extremely nervous about getting into main campus! I applied to all three campuses but I would very, VERY strongly prefer Orlando... my hope is crushed. LOL

I am a UCF student in the pre-nursing major. Came here straight out of highschool. That is an excellent TEAS score though! I’m sure your chances are high!

Hey guys! Just to give you an idea of when results came out last year I found out March 26th around 3:40-4pm (on a Thursday). Theres a pretty good chance you guys will get emails today due to a lot of advisors working from home/remotely. (especially on a Friday like this is a perfect time) Good luck ❤️

UCF just sent me an email with my decision. I was rejected. I think I may get in at UF, as I scored a 90.5 on the HESI with my  first try and I will have a 3.8 GPA including my Spring grades.

Best of luck to y'all!

Hi guys! I just got waitlisted for Orlando. Has anyone heard about Cocoa or Daytona? The email did not say anything about those two? Are there going to be 3 separate emails?
