UCF 2021 Traditional BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Thread for UCF ‘21 Traditional BSN ❤️
I sent my application in literally at 12:00 am on February 1st... is this application wholistic or first come first serve? Also... does UCF look at your transcript with grades from this semester?

Aside from that, lmk what your GPA’s and TEAS scores look like. I am way too insecure to post mine and am not sure where I am at. First choice is Daytona, then Orlando, then Cocoa.

For those of you who haven’t seen this yet, looks like UCF has an unprecedented amount of nursing applications this year. Kind of stressful! ?https://www.Google.com/amp/s/www.fox35orlando.com/video/906402.amp

Yea ? I saw it here: https://nursing.ucf.edu/news/wftv9-ucf-college-of-nursing-sees-spike-in-applications-during-the-pandemic/

The wording makes me think that maybe it was an increase across all of the programs?? The UCF description says “26% increase in applications to the BSN programs” ... so does that mean like all the applications for traditional, concurrent, and ABSN combined??

Did you apply for traditional as well?? Ik statuses for us went eligible last week, which is super early! Aaah this is so nerve wracking!! Hoping for the best for everyone and hopefully we’ll find out soon! ?

Hey guys! Created an account to comment on this as well. Spoke to someone in the nursing department and I was told that they have over 700+ application for the Traditional BSN program alone this year. When I heard I was so shocked I had to ask her to repeat herself 3 times.

Oh wow! ? That’s so many!!! Hoping for the best for all of us!

Yes I applied for only the traditional BSN program. I was so excited to see that the status changed to eligible! Hoping that we are all able to get in. I only applied for the Orlando campus, which now looking at how many applicants there are, may not have been the smartest idea. I just personally wasn’t interested in any of the other campuses.

Wow that is insane! Really makes the whole process more stressful. The sites were saying a big reason for the increase was because a lot of transfer students are applying to be closer to home.

Best of luck to you! I'm just confused on how our statuses went to eligible so fast with so many applicants, but I'm not complaining! Just gonna hope for the best :')

I have been waiting for this post LOL.  I'm a local transfer from Valencia College.

Not 100% sure about how they sort us with stats but it seemed like GPA and TEAS for sure.  If you're weak in one score, do better in another.

TEAS 82.7 (UGH)

Cumulative 3.736

Science 3.75

Nonscience 4.0

I have Cocoa, Orlando then Daytona.  Btw.  If any one else tries to apply for two different semesters... Don't. LOL

Wait why? I applied to Summer and didn't get in. I also applied to fall for cocoa and Daytona. I already made my reactivation form for fall and my application has been eligible since feb 21. Now I’m nervous.

I just wanted to stop by to tell you:

Good luck to each and every one of you!  Keep that passion, fire, and hunger--don't let anyone take that from you.  Ever.

Pro tip--It's okay to nervous.  Every nurse has made a mistake (we're human).  Every nurse has been poop their pants scared.  (Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise.)  Always carry a pen and a hemostat.   And lastly--be your own cheerleader.

You got this!

OMG I loved this. I already graduated from FSU so I had applied to the Summer ABSN, and did not get in. I’m really hoping to get in for fall. I am so nervous.

If your nursing application says eligible then you should be fine! ?

I literally just did the same thing.  When did you reactivate yours?  I'm scared that it won't get approved on time.  I am also planning to apply again for Seminole and Valencia Concurrent Fall.  I'm also nervous haha. You're definitely not alone.
