Hello! I am applying for the nursing program at UCF for the Fall of 2011. I am really excited and really hope that I get accepted. Is there anybody else on here that has applied yet or is planning to apply?

Hi! I just got an email saying I needed to attend orientation, so I decided to check my application status online, and it says I was accepted for fall 2011. Does that mean to the school alone or to the program? Are there two separate places to check?...

Sounds like you were accepted to the university itself, not the program yet. You'll know if you got into the nursing program because you will get an email to that effect from a UCFnurse email address.

I thought it went fine, but yesterday found out I was waitlisted. Oh well, I did my best. That's all I could do! :)

That's very true. Atleast it wasn't your only option. Have you decided on which university you want to attend?

lol, get this. I received an email today from UCF saying i have been denied entry into the nursing program because i did not meet minimum eligibility requirements. What the heck?! Keep in mind i have a 4.0 GPA (every class) and scored an 88.7% on the TEAS V. So, naturally, i called the school to see what the deal was and got transferred to an advisor. It turns out that there is another person with my first and last name who applied for the same program during the same term. He, unfortunately, has a 2.6GPA. So they put his transcripts under his name AND my name. LMAO! I wasn't even mad when he said this, i just started laughing. Me with a 2.6GPA...PSshh. Funny. I wouldn't have even bothered applying with that score because in know i would have gotten denied...just like my doppleganger.

They are fixing the problem.

Wow. That's crazy. 2.6 does not even meet the min requirements!

Hopefully he's not a lawyer and decides to sue for emotional distress when they retract the offer, just sayin' :lol2: ... but I doubt that's ever going to happen :)

They actually tell you what number you are? I wish UCF did that. I would love to know how many applications they received. It would give us a better idea of what our chances are of getting accepted.

I thought there would be much more apps received by now. Maybe it will pick up towards the end of the application period? I hope not lol. Best of luck to you!

Still on the fence :mad: ... I am determined however to make up my mind by the weekend! Someone on some waiting list will be very happy! :D
