UCF Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Hello! I am applying for the nursing program at UCF for the Fall of 2011. I am really excited and really hope that I get accepted. Is there anybody else on here that has applied yet or is planning to apply?

UCF corrected their mistake and i am now back in the candidate pool. They said decisions should be sent out no later than April 15th.

I've been accepted to UNF's summer program, but i am keeping myself in the running at UCF in case of some unknown circumstance where i can't attend UNF. So, if nothing screws that up then someone on the UCF waitlist will be very pleased. :)

Welcome to our thread. I agree. I'm hoping that we hear something by April 1st. The sooner the better.

Goodness, they told me by April 1st a couple weeks ago! I wonder if the applicant pool is bigger or more closely matched than they anticipated. Either way, needing more time to deliberate does not make me feel more comfortable.:grn:

I checked myUCF portal too, and it says "Congratulations! You have been offered admission to UCF for the Fall 2011 term."

Not sure if that's just general admission or what.

It is just for general admission to the university. I was accepted to the accelerated program, and my status said the same thing once I was admitted to the university. Acceptance to the nursing program will come directly from the CON via email.

I thought you were only offered general admittance to UCF if you were admitted into the program in which you applied. It doesn't make much since for them to accept you into their school and then deny to from entering the nursing program. I applied to UNF and this was the same scenario that happened to me. My general admission was approved and i received my nursing school acceptance letter in the mail the next day.

With the nursing program at UCF you have to be admitted to the university as "nurse pending" before the CON will consider your nursing application. I received my general UCF acceptance back in the fall, but did not complete the actual nursing application until Jan.
