UCF Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Published

Hello! I am applying for the nursing program at UCF for the Fall of 2011. I am really excited and really hope that I get accepted. Is there anybody else on here that has applied yet or is planning to apply?

Congrats Paco! I just saw that you were accepted. I know you must be so excited. I can't wait until we receive our letters or emails. I am getting so anxious.

I am excited, yes ... thanks! But am also torn because I have to decide between at least 2 good programs (and perhaps 3 if I get a nod from UNF). But I suppose that's better that not getting in anywhere. It's going to be a heartbreaking 2 weeks, as I will have to say no to 2 good programs in favor of one within that time. On the brighter side, some waitlisted people will get in.

Hello:o) I applied for UCF Accelerated, but didnt get in, I got an 84.7 on Teas but had a 3.9gpa with a 3.8 science gpa, and finished my pre-reqs 4 years ago..it took 7 weeks for us to find out. I also applied for Fall, so probably 1st or 2nd week in April is when we will know. I am trying to register for informational session for SSSC/UCF Concurrent, but the one available isnt until after application deadline. Is anyone going to the informational session March 21? for SemState?

I am really hoping to get accepted to UCF because I didn't apply any where else. You made a smart decision to apply to multiple places. I know that it will be a hard choice but I'm sure that you will make the right decision. And you're right, 2 people will be very happy that they are going to have the chance to go now too.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get accepted to the accelerated program but there is still hope for the Fall. You have a great GPA and I know that weighs in a lot. I really hope that we don't have to wait until the middle of April but I know that with so many applications coming through, that it is a possibility.

Do you have to attend the information session for the concurrent program before you apply? If not, then you should just go ahead and apply, so that way you have a backup plan.

The application submission dates for Fall 2011 are from March 15th to March 25th. You still have a few days after the info session to submit your application. You have to attend an info session to get an application. Best of luck to you!

lol, get this. I received an email today from UCF saying i have been denied entry into the nursing program because i did not meet minimum eligibility requirements. What the heck?! Keep in mind i have a 4.0 GPA (every class) and scored an 88.7% on the TEAS V. So, naturally, i called the school to see what the deal was and got transferred to an advisor. It turns out that there is another person with my first and last name who applied for the same program during the same term. He, unfortunately, has a 2.6GPA. So they put his transcripts under his name AND my name. LMAO! I wasn't even mad when he said this, i just started laughing. Me with a 2.6GPA...PSshh. Funny. I wouldn't have even bothered applying with that score because in know i would have gotten denied...just like my doppleganger.

They are fixing the problem.

Hopefully they did not offer the doppleganger admission to UCF instead :D

lol, didn't think about that. Well they are looking into it now, so if he did get accepted then chances are he's going to get unaccepted once they find out.

Hopefully he's not a lawyer and decides to sue for emotional distress when they retract the offer, just sayin' :lol2: ... but I doubt that's ever going to happen :)

Wow. That's crazy. I'm glad that you got it resolved. At least we know now that they have already started sending out denial letters. I can't wait until we find out.

Hi! I just got an email saying I needed to attend orientation, so I decided to check my application status online, and it says I was accepted for fall 2011. Does that mean to the school alone or to the program? Are there two separate places to check?...
