UCF Fall 2011 Hopefuls

Hello! I am applying for the nursing program at UCF for the Fall of 2011. I am really excited and really hope that I get accepted. Is there anybody else on here that has applied yet or is planning to apply?

Does that number seem kind of low for UNF, especially these days? I remember @ the info session they mentioned getting something like 2,000 applications in prior years but they end up weeding out many of them for not completing applications as directed, not having 3.0 in prior bachelor's (for accelerated program), etc. So I suppose 550 was the number that made the cut in terms of the numbers and completing applications properly but the top 150 got interviews. That's my guess anyway! :)

That sounds about right Paco. It amazes me how people would pay $30 and take the time to go through the application process without having met the admission criteria in the first place, but it seems it happens every semester. Oh well, that's more $$$ for UNF i guess.

I know when i first started to look into UNF i came to the realization that if i didn't score atleast in the upper 70's on the TEAS, and have atleast a 3.6GPA, that i wasn't even going to waste my, or their, time by applying.

Has anyone heard any rumors about when we are to be notified on whether we got accepted or not?

Asking about the fall, correct? I think they said sometime in late April. That's what I have heard. The accelerated decisions are slated to be released next week (then again, people have heard different dates for this too: March 1, March 15 ... etc).

When I called, they told me that we should know by the end of March or the beginning of April at the latest.

Does anyone know what the average GPA and TEAS scores were for the students admitted to previous classes?

Anybody know when last year's Fall 2010 students received their acceptance letters/emails?

I'm not sure when they received their letters last year but when I called the college of nursing, they said we should get our letters by the end of March or the beginning of April. I'm getting so nervous and so exciting at the same time. I hope this month goes by fast.

Has anybody did the orientation for UCF yet? If not, when do you plan on doing it?

I signed up for March 25. I plan on going, but that's of course assuming I get in. I applied to both the basic and accelerated programs.

Thanks HM2Doc!! :) That was quite a surprise today! I was not expecting a decision for 2 weeks. Quite happy with the news! I am however still attending UNF's interview, but a bit more relaxed now :D
