Is anyone applying for UCF at the Cocoa/Daytona campus for Spring semester 2011? I've been working at this for soooo long and I was hoping to find other people out there too for moral support!
I applied to the Daytona campus, but I haven't heard anything yet, I'm very anxious because I was accepted to DSC's nursing program for the Fall, but I was really hoping to get into UCF for Spring. I have spoken to the nursing department a few times since the beginning of August, always asking when we can expect to hear something. I was told that we would be notified by email (knights mail) ONLY if we were accepted, and that we would also receive a letter in the mail as well, that they just let the students that are accepted know a little before hand through email. Has anyone gotten any thing from them in your knights mail? I haven't yet and I'm starting to worry that I didn't get in.
This is getting ridiculous! I guess they really are going to wait until Sept. 1 to let us know. I just don't get it because last year, everybody would have known two weeks ago (2nd week in August) I've become addicted to my email - can't get within 30 feet of my laptop without checking to see if I have any new messages. On the bright side, I have cleaned out all of the old messages that were sitting in my inbox.
Please ........... send them out and stop the suffering!!!
Did you talk to someone that told you September 1st? I called yesterday, I feel like I call every week but I asked the person who answered the phone and she told me "next week". It has been next week for like the last three weeks, I'm so anxious to know. I even have my knights mail set up to text alert me every time I get an email lol. But it's really stressing me out because I was accepted to a ASN program for this Fall which of course I took the spot because it's better than no spot, but I figured I'd know about UCF by now, so I'd know if I was going to stay in the ASN program. I think it's taking so long because like someone else said they are moving buildings this month or something like that so they probably figure that letting us know isn't as important as getting all of the stuff organized in the new building they moved to. I understand, but I'm just so anxious!
I'm in the same position as a lot of you - I've been checking me emails every 30 minutes ) I spoke with Nancy over in Orlando on Monday morning and she said what we've all suspected - that they haven't finished reviewing all of the applications due to the move and because the Fall Semester didn't start until 8/23/10. She said the same thing that she's told me several tiimes before - "emails should be send out by the end of this week". I sincerely hope she's right!
Not only do I have my knights mail open all day at work, I am checking this board constantly in case a letter comes to someone on here! If I do get a message in my inbox, I have a split second panic attack before it registers that the message is not from the College of Nursing. I really just want to know, one way or the other. Years worth of work and the answer seems minutes away...Hurry up already!!

that's so funny because i have the same reaction to any new email in my inbox. that instantaneous thought that "this is it", a quick intake of breath, and then the realization that someone wants to sell me male enhancement herbs over the net. well, they say that sept. 1 is their selfimposed deadline - unfortunately, when my friend called she made it sound like they're trying to meet it - which means maybe they won't. it's only one more week away. (i can't believe that i just typed that) one more week feels like forever!
as soon as anyone hears anything - jump on allnurses and let us all know!

I just had a thought, does anyone know (if we get in) when we would graduate? If we start in the Spring and it is only 5 semesters then that would mean we would graduate after Summer 2011? I though the graduations only occurred after Spring and Fall - does anyone know? (i didn't have the opportunity to go to the info session)
