UCF BSN Fall 2017

Published

Hi guys,

I hope I'm not the only one already obsessing over my application for the Fall 2017 semester! I have finals this week and then I'm finally finished with the nursing pre-reqs and I'll have my AA after just two courses in the spring. The application window for the traditional BSN program at UCF is in February and I'm so ready! I thought we could all come together here like I've seen others do in the past to share our stats and words of advice/encouragement.

Here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.71

Science Pre-req: 3.67

Non-Science Pre-req: 4.0

TEAS: 86.7

I feel like my stats aren't particularly competitive for the traditional program so I'll also be applying to Valencia-UCF's concurrent program next May.

Anyone else a little too excited the the next few months to fly by? What are your stats? Are you currently a UCF student or transfer? Are you applying to any other programs?

I am freaking out

Since it's already 4pm I'm convinced it's not going to happen today lol

I agree, hoping for tomorrow

*elongated sigh*

Hey guys! I've been following this discussion since I sent my application in February and I feel like each of us has a good chance in getting accepted(: I'm anxiously waiting and checking every second of every day (I swear lol) but best of luck to all of us!

Overall GPA: 3.80

Preq science GPA: 3.97

Preq non-science: 3.67

TEAS: 80

Hah I've also been following the discussion for maybe a week without contributing. I haven't actually calculated my science or prereq gpa since I'm at FSU which has different prereqs I've been trying to meet. I have a 3.73 overall GPA and a 92.7 TEAS. That got me into FSU nursing which doesn't take TEAS into account, but does require an interview. UCF is my first choice and I wish the best to all of you!

Pamsala you sound like my GPA AND TEAS twin! :) if you're staying positive then so will I!

oh my gosh! I went back and saw your stats and wow, we do! lol :)

I got an email back and all they were able to tell me is that they don't know the exact date. And I also haven't been able to calculate my science and pre-req GPA since I did a few APs in high school as well so I'm not sure how that factors in.

Hey @Jfsut, congrats on getting accepted to FSU but why do you prefer UCF over FSU? (just wondering) o:

Well my girlfriend graduated from FSU and is now in a graduate program in Orlando, my parents live just an hour from Orlando, and Tallahassee only has 1 hospital which kinda cuts networking and local career options drastically whereas Orlando is chock full of hospitals and opportunities. FSU will be my backup if UCF denies me but let's not think about that

That is very true and well your TEAS is amazing and your GPA is as well so I think you have a pretty good chance(:
