UCF 2010-2011 accelerated nursing program

Published

I am applying and have requested all my transcripts, I did decent on the Teas test with an 86. Undergrad gpa 3.45, pre req 4.0

I went to the info session last month it was a bit of a pain :angryfire to sit through just to get the application passcode because of all the redundant you should do some research if your serious questions lol.

I am excited and hope to get in to move forward with my life goals of community health nursing.

I am also applying to UNF's program too. Their website is really detailed with everything I ever wanted to know. One of the few schools that have their stuff together.

The jacket is pretty ugly btw

Specializes in ICU.
Yeah, I got a complete blank too; except they told me it was because the school wanted everyone to have identical trays, gloves, etc. so we "all have the same clinical experience". I don't know about the rest of you, but I won't be devastated if someone has better latex gloves than me!

Not a fan of being told to hand over hard earned money without being informed as to what I bought.

You all are cracking me up today. I am I have been MIA the last few days and the responses are hilarious. The above is by far my favorite over the last few days.

I am thinking about how very important highlighting on a computer is important to me, lol. That is not a buying point for me. I learn better when write things out. I hate being in front of a computer doing stuff like that. Just annoys the hell out of me, which is why I dislike online classes.

Angela - did the uniform store tell you how long it would take for them to do the embroidery? I can't get to the bookstore until next weekend to get the patch so I'm hoping it doesn't take very long. We just need 1 patch for the jacket right?

No mate: they had them in stock already embroidered.

The only thing you have to get from the book store is a sew on patch for the left sleeve of the jacket.

Oh cool. Thanks!

Has anyone bought their scope yet? I was looking at the pink breast cancer edition for $69.99 (includes engraving)

I went to the store and got my scrubs too- they are in stock. The pants are horrible! they taper at the ankle and have like 5 pockets on each side of the leg! haha. Maybe we can all talk about being able to wear better bottoms at orientation? I don't know if anyone else has tried theirs on yet... I just got 1 pair of each color bottoms and 2 tops.

I tried mine on. The waistband comes up to my chin!!:D

LOL...I know the pants are horrible!! But I highly doubt they will let us switch.

The jacket is like a dress too...the SML is huge...they didn't have XS at the store or the bookstore!

That is a good point you have...I don't think I have ever used one of the CDs that come with books before in my life!

Do we have to use the online text for any of them? I had an economics class that I paid $70 for online text access; but at the end of the semester it disappeared along with my $70 and I had nothing to sell on e-bay and nothing to keep for reference.

Hello nurse Urkle!! I don't think they will let us change the uniform. They had a big stock of them at the store so they have probably had this arrangement for a long time.

Hey guys...I think I am going to go ahead and buy all the books in the package separately. The only problem I am having is the book by "Pagana" seems to only be in the ninth edition and UCF is requesting it in the 3rd edition. I find this weird that we would be using the old of an edition. Has anyone else run into problems?
