I am applying and have requested all my transcripts, I did decent on the Teas test with an 86. Undergrad gpa 3.45, pre req 4.0
I went to the info session last month it was a bit of a pain :angryfire to sit through just to get the application passcode because of all the redundant you should do some research if your serious questions lol.
I am excited and hope to get in to move forward with my life goals of community health nursing.
I am also applying to UNF's program too. Their website is really detailed with everything I ever wanted to know. One of the few schools that have their stuff together.
Thanks for that medisave link, I am going with the brown and copper. Would it be poor taste to get RN engraved? I kind of feel that way and will leave it off. No idea with what shoes we need.
I felt the same way about getting RN engraved...figured I would get a new one when we graduate.. I just put my name

Right. Plus if your working in cardiology you might need a totally different one. I will use some symbols though. I love music so thats going on there. Too bad they don't have a bass clef.
I was wondering if the gent during the info session was joking about having to fork over $2500 to the UCF book store. I will be buying my books very soon, from Amazon etc
Does anyone know if there are any regulations on the shoes we need to buy? I know they have to be all white, but do you know if they have to be non-slip or closed back etc??
I was told that they just needed to be all white, closed toe (which I assume they would need to have backs as well). I never heard anything about non-slip, but most sneakers are non-slip. Tennis shoes are probably your best bet. I just bought mine this weekend at Sports Authority - they are having a pretty good sale. It was hard to find ALL white for a decent price - mine are New Balance and they were like $50. Good luck finding comfy ones! :)
I wonder how much that book package is - does anyone know? Are you guys that are buying books outside of UCF still buying that package or all of those books separately as well?
The book package is $868.80 if you buy from the school bookstore...
Says they have it for $651.60 as a used rate, but when you try to select it there are no used books available. I am most definitely purchasing my books from other sources.
juliehope42 - definitely do some research on the books online. As Flybritt58 pointed out, the bookstore price for the package is $868 and this does not include ALL of our textbooks. I did some research and found everything for about $700-$800 (new and used books). The one thing I'm not clear on is whether we have access to the online version of the books when we purchase them outside of the package. The benefit to this seems to be that they allow you to highlight the textbooks and create personalized study guides. So, we shall see. But overall, I think you'll save about 40-50% off the price quoted through the bookstore.
