UCF ABSN 2021

I haven't seen a thread for this application cycle yet, so thought I'd start one.

I know it's still in application window timeframe, but my application is showing 3 out of 4 green checks and I was wondering if anyone had all 4? I'm still waiting for verification of pre-reqs. Does anyone have that one green checked?

No, all the other three got changed to green on the 3rd. Still waiting on that one too! But I read forums for previous years and thats usually the last one to get a green check mark! It will show up before the 15th most likely

Still waiting on mine to not say 'pending verification' too. Hopefully soon!

No I have three green checks, the prereq one is still pending. I'm guessing it won't change until the application is closed on the 15th.

Does anyone's TEAS score show up in their degree audit? An advisor told me not to worry if I had it sent over, but it's giving me anxiety that it's the only thing incomplete on the degree audit..

Mine isn't showing up on the degree audit. It is showing up in the checklist saying that the TEAS score was received and that the score was met and is showing the score that I got.

I think I saw someone else post here that as long as it was taken/sent in by the 15th that you should be good.

I am still missing the check for verified pre-reqs

Hey everyone, I am planning on retaking the TEAS test next Wednesday and wanted to know if I’m cutting it to close since the period ends Jan 15. Does the score update automatically online? I took the TEAS back in 2019 and got a 76.7 and just noticed I need a 78 ? I don’t know how that flew over my head. I even sent those scores to UCF thinking I was fine.

Update I got an 88! Just finished the application, hopefully everything goes well because all my transferred grades are still pending. Pre req gap 4.0 and overall GPA 3.43.

Does anyone know if retaking a course puts you at a disadvantage? I took A&P twice. The first time I got a C+ (rough year LOL) but the second time I got an A. Which would they be looking at??

I don't think retaking a class puts you at a disadvantage for this program! The advisors who hosted the information sessions actually encouraged retaking a course if a first attempt grade was less than ideal. I believe that the number of course repeats is only used to help advisors identify which attempt an applicant would like to count toward their prerequisite GPA.

Based on the information session slides from 2020, there are only four metrics by which eligible applicants are evaluated:

  • Overall GPA (must be 3.0 or higher)
  • TEAS Composite Score (must be 78% or higher)
  • Science Prerequisite GPA
  • Non-Science Prerequisite GPA

Remember to apply for the Helen Fund Trust scholarship on 1/20!  ☺️ I got an email today and I’m not sure if everyone did. They sent it to my personal email not my knights one.

Hi everyone!

I have one unrelated question.

I have zero experience with taking loans to pay for school during Summer sessions. Being that this program would be a Summer start, does anyone know if federal student loans are a possibility during Summer sessions?
