UCF ABSN Class of 2022. Come join the family!

Should we rename to '22? Last year's cohort has a FB group called UCF ABSN '21 since they are graduating this year.

Oh wow, schools in Florida start Summer session way earlier than I'm used to! Assuming that the ABSN program follows the schedule at https://calendar.ucf.edu/2021/Summer, we would start on Monday, May 17th, 2020.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe you should qualify for a Federal loan if you have completed your FAFSA. That's what I plan/hope to use!

You are 100% correct, it was 3:15 PM, not after 6 PM. I'm gonna edit my last post so that I don't confuse anyone. Sorry about that, everyone! Looks like we will be waiting a while longer! Never mind, looks like I can't edit my post. For anyone viewing this in the future, please disregard my hopeful comment that we would receive decisions after 6 PM.

It definitely doesn't show the timestamps by default, but you can see them by clicking 'quote' on the post. I discovered this yesterday haha. Let's see what happens.

Check out the timestamps of when people were celebrating on these forums last year. People were posting that they were "just accepted" after 6 PM. This is purely speculative, but I'm still hoping that the plan is to send the emails out later than 5 PM.

Ahh it'll be okay, @nursinggirl2021, you've got this! I'm sure that if you got an A and a B in two different flavors of a class, the advisors would be reasonable and would want you to use the one where you got an A. You paid tuition, spent the time studying, and got an A. It was just an honest mix-up of the course numbers—a mistake that any of us could've made.

I now have four green check marks, and my application was submitted on January 14th!

I believe the most important things are that you have a Bachelor's Degree, have fulfilled your GEP requirements, and are registered as a second degree-seeking student. Here's a screenshot from my degree audit: My case is slightly different—I have not fulfilled the University Residency Requirement because I have a Bachelor's degree from another school and took most of my prerequisites outside of UCF. If it was the case that I had to fulfill the residency requirement to be eligible for the ABSN program, then I'd have to take 10+ random classes at UCF, which would be completely unreasonable. Even if UCF considers you to be one credit shy for the Upper Level Semester Units requirement, you will have the opportunity to fulfill that requirement when take upper-division classes in the nursing program. Side note, the upper-level semester units requirement differs from school-to-school. For example, while UCF requires 48 credits, USF only requires 42 credits: https://www.usf.edu/arts/advising/graduation.aspx It'd be pretty messed up if a transfer from USF wasn't eligible because their upper-division requirement was six credits less than UCF's requirement. ?

You're fine, you'll satisfy those requirements when you take the upper-level classes in the nursing program!

Excellent news, @Ophelia123!! Out of curiosity, what date did you apply?

Consider all three applications independent of each other; they should not impact each other negatively as they are separate applications. Each one must be completed separately. Be aware of this, though: I believe the concurrent program has a more in-depth application process involving a paper form. I am only applying to the accelerated program, so I don't know much more about the concurrent program than that.
