UCF ABSN 2021

I haven't seen a thread for this application cycle yet, so thought I'd start one.

Is anyone having issues gaining admission to the school? I just got off the phone with their admission staff and got nowhere- my $30 fee is somehow lost in ORL

No, bummer! I didn't have an issue, but I also applied last year, too. I hope you get things figured out soon.

Sorry to hear that! My application was sitting for about two months. I gave admissions a call and they straightened it out and I got admitted the next day. Hopefully, yours got straightened out too!!

Hi guys, does anyone know if the AP scores are needed for admission to the actual nursing program?

I have already been accepted to the school (UCF, not UCF Nursing) and am wondering if I still need the official AP transcript.

Hi all, excited to apply in a few weeks! Has anyone heard any updates or changes to the program regarding COVID-19? I’ve heard a lot of programs are cutting back on clinicals opportunities, unfortunately.

Hi guys, is anyone graduating this semester having trouble with readmissions?

I'm not having trouble with readmission, but I am having trouble with getting in. My portal isn't updating for some reason and I literally call every day to make sure everything is in. They closed today through the 4th so I'll have to wait until then to hear anything back... which makes me super nervous.

Happy new year everyone ?

I saw that the application is open today. Is it just the one page? Is there no essay involved?

I am taking the TEAS soon so I don’t have a score yet. But I’m wondering if there’s an essay I’m missing somewhere? Or if it’s strictly scores. Thank you.

another question: we should have the TEAS scores sent to UCF right? I’m taking it ATI and had my free report go to UCF.

Hey everyone! I'm still waiting to be admitted to UCF. I applied in late October but I kept hitting snags getting all the paper work in. Does anyone know if I can access the nursing application even though I haven't been admitted to UCF yet? If not, would someone tell me what's on the nursing application so I can be prepared? I'm just worried because I have a feeling that if I am admitted, it will be cutting it close to the nursing application deadline. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yes, I'm having this same issue! I scheduled an appointment with an admissions counselor to hopefully move things along in time. Somehow I am able to see and fill out the application tho!!

Does anyone know if retaking a course puts you at a disadvantage? I took A&P twice. The first time I got a C+ (rough year LOL) but the second time I got an A. Which would they be looking at??

Hey Lauren,

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Try this link if you can access it https://applications.nursing.ucf.edu/Main.aspx

I would call admissions for your application and make sure it goes through.

The application is a one page and it just asks for prerequisites and grades and TEAS scores. That's about it for all I know. Hope this helps and good luck!

I’m glad I’m not alone here! I’ve been seriously stressed out about it haha. I just made a meeting with an admissions counselor! Thank you so much I had no idea you could even do that. That’s awesome we can open the nursing application! Are you going to go ahead and submit yours or wait until you’re accepted to the school?

I’m sorry I don’t know if retaking the course would put you at a disadvantage. I would think as long as you have that prerequisite you should be fine. They’ll likely look more at your GPA.
