UC Davis Nurse Residency Program- Fall 2022

Hi everyone! I am applying to the UC Davis Nurse Residency Program for Fall 2022 and could not find a thread for this application period. Figured I would start one!

What do you mean by reference check? Did they contact you for an interview and then ref checked you?

Yes. I was interviewed 2 weeks ago and 3 business days later I got a skills survey sent to 5 references.  I interviewed for the float pool. Did you interviewed? Did you get a skills survey?

Yes I did!
And I haven’t as of yet, trying to stay as positive as possible ?

No, I'm hoping by tomorrow because my friend got hired in the ED which requires 6m paid acute care first and they start in July. He said he submitted his references on a Wed and got a call and email the next week on a Wed. So I submitted my references Thur last week. Hoping I hear back tomorrow.  When did you submit your references?

I submitted my references tues but they weren’t completed until thurs!

Yes, tomorrow is hopefully when you'll hear back.  I got the request on Tue too. Keep me updated please! I think there's a few float they hire for acute cate.  A lady from years ago told me there was 6 new grads they hired in the float pool out of 25 new grads.

Hi everyone, does anyone know if the managers don't reach out to everyone who got sent to them even though the status says "routed for further consideration"?

I think that just means HR thinks we’re a good fit. Managers then decide if they are interested enough to interview us. So, I would assume that not everyone who is routed gets an interview unfortunately. (I am in that boat currently!)

OK thank you, I was not sure how it all works. I know someone who had interviewed, got asked for references and availability, but then got rejected. So I just want to know when they are all done with choosing people so that I don't keep on hoping and instead start looking for something else.

Has anyone gotten interviewed or scheduled for interviews from ED? Those who specified wanting ED what does your portal say?
