UC Davis Nurse Residency Program- Fall 2022

Hi everyone! I am applying to the UC Davis Nurse Residency Program for Fall 2022 and could not find a thread for this application period. Figured I would start one!

Did anyone hear anything about ICU/CVICU/Step down units? I did not specify any units on my cover letter but did my preceptorship in Neuro ICU, CVICU & Step down. My status still says "application received".

My status still says application received as well, I did my preceptorship in a pediatric unit but didn’t specify anything on my cover letter either. I hope they are still making pediatric offers.

Someone just called me to schedule an interview for a pediatrics in-patient position at the children's hospital, but I declined it due to a recent job offer acceptance! I believe she mentioned the interview is on Monday. Good luck to those still waiting ❤️

Hey what’s up guys! I applied April 4th. Have 3 years ICU tech/CNA experience and have my license and I mentioned all this in my cover letter soooo don’t know. I have also reached out to the new grad recruiter. My status still says “application received”. Waiting….patiently…?

For those who reached out to a recruiter, did they respond to you guys? Haha I swear I messaged like 6 of them and they pretty much left me on read ?

The one I reached out to replied and said she is handing off more candidates to mangers within the next two weeks. She said each unit is different and managers may even call towards end of June.

Do you happen to know which units or no? thanks for the info. kinda losing hope ?

No idea which units:( but she did say end of June so just stay positive! Has your status changed at all? Mine hasn’t yet

Did anyone else get an interview for the float pool and get a references check? I completed mines yesterday, got it Tue.  Anyone get an offer yet?

Is there anyone who in other specialities get references check but no offer? Anticipation is killing me.

I reached out and one did respond. This is what she said, 

"I’m in the process of routing over qualified candidates to managers. To give you an idea on timeline, if you are selected for next steps you should be hearing from managers starting in the middle of May or beginning of June for our August 8th and October 11th cohorts."

Very vague and someone just posted yesterday they also got a call so anything is possible but best to not put all your eggs in one basket.

You got the references check as well? I'm so nervous. Do you know if people who got a references check and didn't get hired? Please keep me posted. I'm praying for us!
