Hiya folks!
It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.
Is anyone else already excited for next September?

Btw, my degree is from another country, so it is basically of no use in this aspect.
I also took bio 230 at Athabasca, there are no pre-reqs and it is entirely self-paced and online which is really convenient!

I have a BSc and completed LPN program and worked as an LPN for few years. However, I do not have any recent volunteer experiences. I am wondering if it can affect greatly on how UBC evaluate the application?
Although it is obviously better to have volunteer experiences I think as long as you have meaningful experiences in other aspects, work, hobbies, etc, and you can connect those to nursing I think you should be fine.

I’m taking part 2 of HAP at Thompson Rivers online - so like Athabasca, you can do it at your own pace. They recommend high school biology and Chemistry, but it’s not a prereq! Codes are BIOL1593 and BIOL1693.
Feel free to DM me if you want more info about the courses ?
Hi all,
I am a current UBC student in my 4th year and I am applying a second time this year. I was way down on the waitlist last time and didn't get in.
I was curious what the schedule is like for people currently in the program?
Is everything online and you spend 2 days per week at a hospital?
Do you take care of covid patients? How many overnight shifts are you expected to complete as a student?
Thanks

For me, I am hoping to improve my casper score this year as last year I felt it went horribly and I ranked 3 out of 4 on it. I believe it was my casper score that sent me down the waitlist last year.

How did you know your rank? Do you e-mail UBC Nursing department after rejection?
