Hiya folks!

It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.

Is anyone else already excited for next September?

Yes, you're suppose to register yourself and then CASPer sends the score to the university and department you choose. I completed my CASPer on October 15, 2020.

^^^ yes please I need some advice as well. It says to "Describe how this contributed to your life and/or interest in becoming a nurse" but in only 50 words I feel like I can only just explain what the experience was or what I did in that role. Not enough words to do that and then connect it to nursing. Is this incorrect? Thanks so much!!

Hi all! I applied last year and my university and high school transcripts that I sent in then have not changed. Does anyone know if I have to send these in again this year? Thanks!

Since it's very brief (only 50 words). I explained what skill I learnt or used, and how it positively affected my life or how applicable the skill is to nursing.

You can take Human Anatomy and Physiology courses at most post secondary schools.

There are a list of schools and the exact courses that qualifies for the HAP requirement in the link/pdf above.

I applied to UBC, as a transfer student, in 2018 but did not get accepted. I went to UTSC instead (University of Toronto Scarborough). They kept my records that did not change. (I applied for an unrelated program though before I finished my bachelors at UTSC)

The application status will update and request which official transcripts you need or what documents you can upload to UBC SSC. You may also receive an email but SSC is more reliable.

I've looked through some, and they all have pre-reqs, does anyone know a HAP course that does not have any?

Btw, my degree is from another country, so it is basically of no use in this aspect.

Hey,

 

I took Biology 230 at Athabasca U which was accepted as an HAP course. It was pretty easy in terms of difficulty and I got to pace myself, so I finished it in around 3 months as opposed to 6/ 1 year.
