Hiya folks!
It's a bit early, but since the application period opens in a couple of months, I thought I'd start this topic to share support/encouraging words/info/nervousness.
Is anyone else already excited for next September?

The supplemental form shows that the word limit is 50 words... Does this mean that we have to make sure that our answer meets both requirements (50 words and 300 characters)? I'm a little confused; the form does not mention 300 characters at all. Also, may I ask what you mean by "canvas under modules"? Is this accessible to every applicant?
Thank you ?
The section they're referring to here, is right after the personal statement and doesn’t have specific word limit mentioned. I think you’re confusing this with the work/volunteer experience section where they have specified 50 words limit. I believe every applicant can access the canvas, https://canvas.ubc.ca/ (login is the same as CWL/application).
For those taking the Casper in Feb, I just wrote it and can confirm it was quite simple! My typing speed is 90-95wpm and I found myself having extra time on every section tbh, I say don’t fluff your answers and just be straight to the point- in fact, they even accept point form answers (but I wrote sentences anyways LOL). The questions are very similar to practice questions, I also suggest looking up recent social justice causes and your point of view/ stance. I was non biased for the most part except for when it came to the social justice questions- I answered those truthfully and in a way that reflect my own morals.

Thank you for your advice aspiringnurse09! ? The exam is literally all that's on my mind these days so I really appreciate it ? May I ask approximately what percentage of the questions were social justice questions? I'm asking because my friend who took the nursing CASPer exam a few days ago told me that the questions were all situational and personal and that I won't need to answer any questions that discuss social justice/policy! Perhaps you took the exam for a different cycle?

Hi friend, I also did not have to answer any social justice/policy questions, and I took mine on Tuesday. My biggest advice is to STAY CALM! You can think and type so much better if you stay calm. If you have any other questions or want more advice, don't hesitate to ask because I remember how stressed I was.

is anyone here at ubc applying straight out of second year? I would like to connect with some of you as I'm seeing most people here are graduated and very experienced hahaha
Yup, that's me! Can totally relate. I would love to DM you but sadly allnurses isn't allowing me (says "you're only allowed to send 0 mesages per day") ?

I have uploaded my unofficial transcripts to UBC a little while ago, I was wondering if they also required official transcripts to be sent in for the January 31st deadline?
Thanks friends!
I was wondering that too, since any uploaded is considered unofficial, but I don't want to pay 15 dollars for a transcript if I can get away with uploading ?

I'm taking it on Feb 11 as well! A friend who took the CASPer a few days ago told me that it was super easy and that it shouldn't be something that people take a long time to prepare for. As Gymah said above, apparently the questions are very similar to the prep test on the website ? I think the two most important things would be to practice typing speed and to have a general framework for answering questions.
