Not sure if she is sick, when you call her phone it says she is processing admissions decisions...

I hope she isn't sick!

In my stressed out mentality, I'm thinking it's a good thing that she's not answering her phone! I'm hoping it means that she's processing all of the emails to be sent out in quick succession...and doesn't want to be distracted with our phone calls...

Called the coordinator today who sends out invitations, she only works Mon to Thurs! I guess we won't hear back today.
Oh this wait it KILLING me!

. Unfortunately, I don't think we will hear until at least Thursday. I think the uncertainty is having an impact on everybody's mental health. So, let's try to take a deep breath and get our minds off of things for a bit - until at least Thursday. I know it is hard, as it is time to let other schools know, and for those of you that will need to plan a move, I can only imagine all the details that need sorting. For myself, I have to decide on a job offer by next Monday so hopefully UBC does hurry things along. Best of luck to everybody. We will have the answer before you know it :)

When they said first week in May, do you think they meant this week? Or next week?

I took it as the end of next week, not this week.

For what it's worth, instead of checking e-mails, I've just been checking the student services site. You can check your application status there. I figure that before they send out the e-mails they have to list us as accepted to declined in our application status, so that should be the most up-to-date. Plus at least you will know for sure the status of your application (i.e. no decision has been made yet) vs. knowing absolutely nothing at all.

Not sure if that helps anyone, but makes me feel like I have a little more control.

Hi Everyone,

I received an email back from UBC and they told me that we can expect to all hear back by the end of NEXT week (so the week of the 5th of May.)

Stay strong! I am moving half way across the country today to start another program tomorrow because I didn't hear in time...but hoping to hear from UBC before I have to pay tuition there so I can quickly move back!

Hopefully we will all get good news soon :)

From what I remember her saying in the interview, is that there would be offers given at the end of the first week in May in 3 weeks....the suspense!! Hope we all hear good news :)

Hello,

I went through the UBC interview a couple weeks ago and am anxiously awaiting a response. I finally came across this message board! Everyone on here seems to be so lovely and accomplished and it would be an honour to study alongside each of you.

My question is - does anyone know if their references were contacted after the interview process? Mine haven't said anything about it and I was just wondering if they don't contact references due to the sheer number of calls that would be?

I have been having mini panic attacks every time I get a new email - was relieved to see the recent posts saying we won't hear until next week :)
