Hey everyone!

Did anyone here take their Casper test on Dec 2? Have your results been received by UBC already? Mine haven't been marked as received yet and I'm getting a bit worried.. I'm not sure how long it usually takes them to update the student services site

I took mine on December 2nd and it's been marked! But I'm not sure if it's been received by UBC. How do you check if they had received it or not?

I've been using the Student Service Centre site to check my progress. I'm actually not sure if that will update when they receive the results...I assume it will because when my transcript was received the transcript line disappeared.

Hmm okay. Did you check the Casper website to see if your test has been delivered? This is what it says in the Q&A section of Casper.

"All test scores are processed and distributed directly to academic programs as a group. Your Casper score will be made available to the programs on your distribution list 2-3 weeks after taking your test.

You will not receive an email stating that your score has been delivered. However, in the Reservations section of your Altus Suite account, you will see “Completed – Results delivered” to indicate that the score has been delivered. If you see “Completed – Results pending,” your Casper score has not yet been distributed.

It may take some extra time for individual programs to update the status of your Casper score in their system. Please allow programs ample time to update their system."

I don't think you need to worry too much if it says it's been delivered on the Casper website. Hope this helps!

Yes, I just checked the website and it says my results were delivered. I guess it's okay! I'm just worried that they got lost somehow haha thanks for helping!

Hello, am currently a kinesiology student at UBC! I am planning to apply to the BSN program for September 2023. I was wondering if any of you were required to write a regular personal profile in addition to the supplemental application.

Does anyone know if there is a word limit for the "Additional Learning and Accomplishments' section of the supplemental application? There isn't one listed, so should I limit myself to 50 words like the next section (which is work and volunteering) or should I write however much I want?

I was not required to write a personal profile.

Hi guys! I am just trying to gauge my chances of getting in. If you don't mind sharing, what is your GPA and what activities are you putting down in your supplemental?

For me, my calculated average is 85.5%, and in my supplemental, I mentioned that I volunteer with people with eating disorders, volunteer with St. John's Ambulance, some UBC clubs, and customer service experience.

Hello!

Did any of you apply from the University of Victoria (uvic) to the ualberta After Degree program? How did you guys fulfill the medical Microbiology requirement? Did they accept any of uvics courses or did you have to take the Open Studies?

I just want to make sure I have a chance before I apply!

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if UBC looks at the Altus Snapshot at all? I know only Casper is required but if we do the video portion (snapshot) will they view it and consider that in our application?

thanks!

Don't think its considered....just sit and wait now, good luck to everyone!

On the "Admissions Information Center 2022 September Entry" under modules, this question is actually asked. This is the answer: If you do not see the word limit for this section, please keep your answer similar length as the Example given underneath of the question (approximately, maximum 300 characters including spaces: about 60 words). Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused!
