UBC 2022 Nursing

Published

Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing.  Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.

Just a question/comment about the waitlist... For those of you who got in, did they send you deadlines for when certain post-admission requirements need to be done? Like vaccinations/first aid etc. I want do those anyways this Summer in case I get off the waitlist because I don't wanna get accepted in August then have to do all that in a month LOL.

Also is there a clear list anywhere about post-admission requirements and what else we need to get done before attending?

So I'm a little devastated here with being #78 on the waitlist. I scored in the #1 quartile of both Supplemental and Casper, but #4 on the Admission Average Rank. I did just fine in Uni though, getting mostly B's and A's, can anyone let me know how they find the average that gets compared to everyone else - is it the last 30 semester hours or something that are compared, or the entirety of your secondary education?

I think it's your last 30 credits from the time you submit your transcript in January?

I’ll give mine incase it helps anyone

im #45 on the waitlist and scored a 2 on admission average, a 2 on supplemental and a 3 on casper

where are you seeing your scores?

Thought I would share my stats:

Number 30 on the waitlist

2 in grades

3 in supplemental

3 in Casper

not sure how I scored a 2 in grades when I applied with a 4.33 average from my last 30 credits but I guess it’s subjective!

I wish there was some way to tell if we are gonna get in because Vancouver is crazy expensive and if I don’t get an offer until August I’m not going to be able to find somewhere to live + have to do all the CPR etc by end of June or whatever it is to remain eligible and might not even get an offer ?

Best of luck on the waiting! It’s can be discouraging but time will be your best friend!
Where are you able to check the quartiles for how you ranked compared to the other applications? Thanks in advance ?

Hi,

I was rejected. I decided a 4 for my supplemental application. I'm just wondering for people who got in/scored well in their supplemental application, what resources you guys used for writing your supplemental application/if you have any advice for it?

Thank you!

Hi everyone! The upper cohort and UBC NUS would like to wish you congratulations and a warm welcome!!

Congratulations again and we are so excited to meet everyone!
