UBC 2022 Nursing

Published

Hey guys! I just wanted to start this post for anyone applying for the 2022 cycle for UBC nursing.  Just wondering where everyone is coming from and their experiences.

That's so much later than the previous years! I wonder if it's because of the increase in seats or applicants...

Oh but in another area of the website, it says "end of April" -  so I who knows! ?  I think they probably keep it vague since they aren't sure how long the whole process will take, to get through all the applicants and evaluate them.  Has anyone on here spoken with someone at the admissions office recently, and got any hints or updates?

This is from the UBC School of Nursing website: -says "late Spring" -- so could it be even going on into June??.... ?

This is under FAQs for the undergrad page:

Q: How do you select applicants and when will I know if I am accepted?

The admission average, supplemental application score and CASPer assessment results will be used in making the final admission decisions. We plan to inform all applicants of their status by the end of April.

On the link the advisor sent me when I emailed regarding transcript submission dates a few weeks ago it said sometime between “mid March and early May”

I think they are vague estimates, we just gotta have patience! (Even though it’s hard haha)

I have a feeling that we won't get our results today.. LOL

The SSC says

"If you have submitted all your required documents as early as possible, you should expect a decision between mid-March to early-May. These times may vary."

I saw that UBC Med sends acceptances on Friday… Nursing must be doing the same

I applied to the midwifery program as my first choice & the BSN program as my second. I was notified I was rejected from my first choice in March, but I just noticed my SSC updated just a minute ago. It went from the generic  “Your application is currently being reviewed by the Faculty/School” etc to a message similar to my rejection email I received in March. Not sure if this means they are working on updating both applications? Could be unrelated. Thought I’d mention it! Seems like something might be in the works! Good luck to everyone, I hope we hear soon! ??

Oh no ?  Did you receive an email about the status update?

Hi,

I have a feeling we'll get our results this Fri, May 6. I know for the past few application cycles, the admissions have sent the results on a Fri - on or after April 30. Just an educated guess! (Don't want y'all to waste your time refreshing your e-mails during the week). Good luck to us!

I have a hunch you're right - and trying to not obsess with checking the SSC and emails!  I've cut it down to only a few times a day now ?

Fingers crossed for today ❤️

Goodluck today everyone! Does anyone have an idea of what time they may send out offers?
