Hey!

Just wanted to start this for anyone looking to apply to the 2020 cycle for UBC accelerated nursing. Let's share what we'll be applying with and any other info :).

Hey have you tried Vancouver first aid? I got the 3M 1860 Mask fitted at the surrey location last week.

Yup I have! I had an appointment booked last week but the day before my appointment they notified me that they no longer have 3M 1860/1870 masks left, and it is now stated on their website ?. The same is stated on Link2Life by the way. Both of them also said that they are on back order with no idea when they will have stock

I emailed nursing support and they refer me back to their FAQ which doesn’t help ?

I currently have standard first aid-CPR C AED and am just missing by HCP/BLS requirement. I was hoping to register for HCP training. Does anyone know if it is okay to submit two separate certificates. My Standard first aid-CPR C AED does not expire until November 2021.

Any update about this? I have an appointment to be for tested tomorrow with Vancouver First Aid. Their website says they have Niosh 8210 approved KN95. Trying to do this in the middle of mask shortage is tricky!

Let me know how it goes, if you also find that they have no stock please email UBC to see if maybe the deadline can be extended because I really have no idea how I'll get this done in 12 days when there's no stock ?

I was able to track down 3M N95 but they 8210 and 8511. I know these aren’t listed on the website so I’m not sure if they will be OK or not?

A friend of mine is a nurse and she was able to get a 3M Aura 1870+ N95. I asked her to get an extra one for you too! ? I just picked them up. Please feel free to text me 778-389-6910 and we can arrange something for you to pick it up. I live in Coquitlam but I work in Vancouver.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to keep the updates coming for those of you still waiting. I was #31 and I got my acceptance offer earlier today. Good luck to everyone still waiting and excited to meet everyone (virtually and in person) soon.
