Hey!
Just wanted to start this for anyone looking to apply to the 2020 cycle for UBC accelerated nursing. Let's share what we'll be applying with and any other info :).

To those who are still waiting to hear back, I understand your anxiety, as I am waiting as well; however, I think it may be a good idea to plan accordingly for alternatives as there is a very good chance that there are no seats remaining. Here is what I’ve gathered from the posts so far, which may be useful to those who are still waiting just as I was. I hope this eases your mind and helps you decide on how you would like to proceed with your next steps.
This is based on the assumption that every person who has accepted their offer from the wait list has posted on this forum, and every person who declined the offer has not posted on this forum

I really hope that I am wrong, but in this case, it is evident that the number of seats available is decreasing each week, and there are still lots of people waiting to receive their offers. As for myself, I’m quite far down the list and have accepted that I’ll have to try again for the next intake. You’ve all done so well to have received a seat on the wait list and your ability to be a nurse is not reflective of the school’s decision. I am certain all of us will get into a nursing program in the near future, so please don’t lose hope. Wish you all the best in your future endeavours and maybe hope to meet some of you in next year’s cohort! Don’t worry-- a year goes by in a flash! (Can you believe it’s already been half a year since we’ve submitted our applications? ?)
I truly hope that you all receive good news soon. Thank you for writing this post I think this definitely helps ease some minds. I do hope you’re wrong though haha so that more of us can be given this opportunity. When I was waiting for a response back, I doubted a ton and I needed to come to terms with my plan B. It’s bittersweet when I see my admittance because I know that everyone worked so hard to get to this and the people next to me are just as deserving as the people who are sitting near the end of this list. I trust that we will all find our path and sometimes life is funny and is saving you for a better offer. I know it’s not easy to be on the outside but don’t give up! I’m rooting for you damn good nurses ?

Physiology has to be on your transcript in progress, but completed by the official transcript deadline (so that means completion is by June 15, of the year of entry)
For example if you were in second year studies, you would do the physiology component (ie. a full year class in my example) starting September, finish the application by January of next year whilst having your transcript showing physiology, and pass the class by April, and if you get accepted, submit a final transcript before June 15 (sending transcripts twice). However transcripts only if you took classes outside of UBC

Thanks for the breakdown! WOW!! Honestly, have you considered law school? Haha, I feel like you'd do really well on the logic games on the LSAT!!
I don't have facebook (yet), would anyone please offer some advice regarding the N95 mask fitting? None of the suggested locations have any of the N95 masks that are commonly given out at clinical placements. In other words, they don't have any 3M 1860/1870+ or Kimberly Clark masks, what should we do in this situation?

Thank you! I can see on facebook that there are a bunch of groups and pages. I requested to be added to the 2022 cohort facebook page but am still waiting on approval. Could you like me to the page you are referring to?
