elle09, what number are you on the wait list? I am number three. Slightly discouraging, but from what they said at the info session after the interview, it sounds like most people on the wait list last year got in.

Does anyone know how they rank people on the wait list? I wonder when those of us on the wait list will find out...

Hey All,

I found out today that I'm on the wait list. Number 4 on the list, so still pretty good odds I think. It's does feel good to have heard something at least.

Ricemilk2011, I'm pretty sure the wait list is based on your raking after the interview. It sounds like last year successful applicants had to accept the offer by June 15th, perhaps someone who has gotten an offer letter can tell us the exact date for this year. However my guess is as soon as the admissions office gets a decline to any offer, they will send out an offer letter to the person on top of the wait list. I'm hoping to hear sooner than mid-June.

So here's my ploy....anyone who got an offer and either can't, or doesn't want to, take it please decline your offer soon. Oh and if four of you could do that it would be even better, Thank you!

Good luck to anyone who is still waiting and to all of you on the wait list. I really hope to meet you all in September.

Well, it is June 15th this year as well.

I think it would be fare if anyone who wants to decline their offer would do it as soon as possible.

Did you hear anything about wait list procedure on the orientation?

Hey guys!! So looks like i'm #7 over here. It feels great to finally get an answer! Now all I have to do is keep that optimism flowing haha but yeah, I totally agree with erob. If you've already decided against ubc, please decline your offer sooner rather than later as a courtesy to us waitlisters. I would also like to ask waitlisters 1-6 to please let the rest of us know when you receive your good news. I'll be celebrating too! Haha

Does anyone know how many ppl got off the waiting list last year? I'm #15, so things are not looking very good for me right now . (sorry about the negativity but I'm just really worried for next year right now )

iris they said they made it through most of the waitlist last year so your chances are still pretty good, stay positive!

I agree..! Just stay positive and they will be flying through that waitlist hopefully by mid June :) But I do understand the uncertainty you guys are feeling and I am sending MAJOR positive vibes!

For those who have already received the admissions offer email and wanted confirmation what to do:

Yesterday I received a response from the BSN admissions advisor. I was told that we should print out the emailed offer of admission and then sign and mail it back to the nursing school. Apparently next week the offer of admission will be active online at SSC and we must also accept the offer there as well. We will then get a package with further information on whats next.

If you are still waiting or on the wait list, best of luck. I can tell from reading threads from last year the wait list can move very quickly so chances are good!
