UBC nursing application 2011

Hello,

I'm new to the site and I saw the thread for last years appilcants to UBC nursing so I thought I would start one for this year.

How is the application going for everyone, any tips from 2010 intake?

Hope everyone is having a great summer and congrats to those who have moved up the wait list! won't be long now! =)

Just wondering if anyone has gotten their official letter in the mail with the next steps we are supposed to take. I have only received the official change of faculty and have accepted on the ssc, but haven't yet gotten anything from the school of nursing in the mail.

I received a general acceptance letter and pack regarding info about tuition, residence, services at UBC, etc... looks like the type of thing any first-time UBC student would get, nothing specific to the SON. I have seen on my online profile that I have been assigned a registration time of mid-July, so I hope we get some info soon!

Hey,

Just wanted you wait listers to know I got my acceptance letter today! I was originally number 4 on the list, so everyone has moved up at least that much. Hope everyone else gets good news soon. Can't wait to meet you all at the end of August.

Hello everyone

I just got my official acceptance too! It's happening fast now. It's not even June 15th yet and already they are through at least the first four people on the wait list. I'm sure closer to that date, there will be even more people getting offers. Hang in there everyone, I know how stressful this has been for all of us and it will be that much better finding out you are accepted!!

I was originally #14, so I guess #10 now? Bah!!! Not close enough! We need some serious movement !

Hey, I know my offer letter said respond by the 15th, but I only got mine last week. I'm not sure about people who got offers right away. Also keep in mind that final transcripts aren't due until the 15th. I know it's hard (I've been there) but try to not panic they are moving through the waitlist, even if it is moving slowly. And Even it if might not help, I'll continue to send positive thoughts your way!

I emailed the program assistant and it is June 15th *sigh*...
