UBC BSN September 2017

Published

Hi Everyone!

I've been searching for a thread for applicants to UBC's BScN program for September 2017, but I haven't found one. Please feel free to point me in the direction of an existing thread, or add to this one! I'm applying to UBC, U of T, and UWO for September, but UBC is definitely my first choice. Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

:)

Oh I thought they would just take the highest grade but average seems to make more sense. I took 3 courses for the past 3 terms and a summer course so I guess that's how they'll go back. They take summer courses right?

Well everyone, I'm thinking we're not going to be receiving any answers before the long weekend. I had sincerely hoped that we would, but as it's not even mid-April yet, I knew it was wishful thinking. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! :)

@tdmah I was also hoping for pre-easter news! Oh well we have successfully made it through the second week of April! happy long weekend to you as well.

HAPPY EASTER WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Day's still young guys don't lose hope!

I'm loving the optimism @mdana93! I was hoping for news before the weekend too, I guess 4 days of no worrying could be good for us all! It'll resume post-Easter. Hope everyone has a well deserved break!

Haha love this! It's true! I received my acceptance email from UofT today around 4:00 PM eastern time. So maybe UBC is waiting til 4:00 PM to send theirs too ;)

@tdmah, congrats on making one of the schools you applied to! Did they have the CASPer aspect of the selection process too?

@tdmah CONGRATS!!! so excited for you

Thank you! Now I just have to wait for UBC. I live in Victoria so UBC would definitely be the more logical choice (if I was to be accepted). Toronto's a big move! UofT had a similar application process but without the CASPer. They look at your GPA, supplementary application and reference letters.

Thank you @Daisy2016 :)

Hey guys I got into BCIT!!! UBC would be my number 1 just cuz it's a shorter program and you guys sound great but yay at least my back up wants me! I have to accept by the 27th so I reallyyyy hope UBC gets back to us by then

@mdana93, as bad as it sounds, if you don't hear by then you can pay the deposit. You withdrawal later, lose the deposit but in the grand scheme of things it doesnt really matter!! Congrats to you!!!

Thanks @to-be-nurse! We'll see where life takes me. I'm pretty torn between the programs to be perfectly honest. mainly cuz BCIT is so close to home. But we'll see!
