UAB Summer 2021 MSN NP Applicants

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd start a thread for all possible UAB Summer 2021, NP prospects. Has any one applied thus far? If so, what is your concentration and stats (GPA, yrs of exp, etc) I'd love to stay connected as we progress on this journey!

But I wouldn't trade those years in Athens for anything! I just hope I get in and that we find out sooner rather than later! LOL y’all I’m from Florida- Go Gators! I got my BSN like 5 years ago, have had my ADN and RN License for 8 years. I’m looking to do the BSN-MSN program for peds primary.

I'm hoping I can just eliminate one day per week to trade out with a clinical day. Oh yeah I can't imagine working 5 days a week and doing classes and clinicals. I work 3 12s right now Wed-Fri. but I really need to keep working throughout because bills gotta be paid somehow. Hopefully it's all manageable. Wonder how often we need to do clinicals once they start.

So in previous years they have heard the first week of December. So I’m hoping we start getting letters around then.

Just got the update through email:

"We expect decisions to be made in mid-December 2020 and decisions will be sent via email".

Anybody hear anything yet? I’m starting to get anxious, and I usually don’t. I know they said mid December, but I was hoping earlier.

Nothing here yet. I also applied for the midwifery initiative through ODU and Shenandoah, but I don’t think I will hear anything from that until May, so ??‍♀️
