UAB MSN FALL 2018

Published

I've seen previous posts about the process of waiting for acceptance or denial letters for the UAB MSN nurse practitioner program! Figured I'd start one for the Fall 2018 semester. I believe we are supposed to find out 6 weeks from yesterday! Anybody know if this is true?

I was able to establish a BlazerNet ID and pin using my information! But that's it. It wouldn't let me go far. Ooooo I hope I got accepted!

*prayer hands emoji* LOL

@Shan. Same thing happened to me. Which program did you apply to?

I applied for the FNP program. GPA 3.7, solid references and essay. I was able to create a blazernet ID yesterday but nothing else so far. The suspense is killing me. I obsessively check this thread, blazernet, my mailbox and the application dashboard multiple times a day.

I have also applied for the FNP track. I have been hawking this thread since the first comment about setting up a student ID! Lol! Hopefully the fact of means something good!

Can someone call to see if the letters went out?

I can create a student number, but not a blazer ID yet. I applied to the dual PNP program.

According to the faq, the only way you would have a Banner ID number is if you're a student. As someone who is applying and never attended before, if you were able to create a pin and were given a banner ID, this is probably a really good sign of acceptance a.m I right?

This is from the faq:

The BlazerID registration form is asking for my employee/student number - what is that?

If you are a UAB employee, then you have a 7-digit Oracle employee number. If you are a UAB student, then you have a 9-character Banner ID number which starts with the letter 'B'. The registration form should accept either of these.

Called today and they said letters will go out 1st week of May

Omg! I was hoping they would come this week or next. I'm stressing out bc we are already about to make our June schedule at work and I don't know what days my orientation would be so I can ask off (if I even get in)!! I wonder if they have planned what days will be what orientation yet? I may have to ask.

I'm frustrated that this seems to keep being pushed back. I thought it said somewhere that decision letters are typically mailed 6 weeks after the application deadline. Nearly 6 weeks later, we hear that decision letters will be mailed at the end of April. Which I was hoping would be like next weekish. Now, the first week of May. My nerves!

I also need to make a schedule for work and I'm having to RO for that entire week.

I emailed John Updegraff to see if they at least knew orientation dates for specific programs. I doubt they do but it can't hurt to ask. I applied for dual PNP. I will let y'all know what he says.

I applied to FNP, and Adult Gero PC as my backup. I'm cool with either on one.
