UAB MSN FALL 2018

Published

I've seen previous posts about the process of waiting for acceptance or denial letters for the UAB MSN nurse practitioner program! Figured I'd start one for the Fall 2018 semester. I believe we are supposed to find out 6 weeks from yesterday! Anybody know if this is true?

Looks like decisions haven't been made yet. Email says letters should be going out at the end of April... Let the anxious waiting continue!

Hey Everyone!!

I applied for FNP and AG-PCNP as my second option. I have about 4 years of RN experience- 3 years med-surg/oncology, 1 year MH. I'm hopeful for an acceptance letter. GPA is okay, but I'm confident in my essay (it only took me like 3 months to write haha) and my references are pretty strong. I called last week to see when letters will be sent. I was told end of April. I also received an email today saying letters will be mailed out end of April! Good luck!

I also tried the Blazer Net trick by putting in my SSN.. That didn't work....

Anyone gonna be going to school full-time and working full-time with a family? I'm a little anxious about all that. I have friends who went through the program who say it's doable, but I guess I don't wanna be too overwhelmed...

Oh wait nvm I see! Well darn

There was an email sent out today that said to anticipate decisions be mailed in late April and that admitted students would be required to attend an orientation either June 18-19 or 21-22 depending on what program you're accepted into

Did anyone receive a letter stating that decisions would be mailed in late April?

Got an email an email last week that said that but not a letter!

Sorry! That's what I meant an email.

Has anyone heard anything back yet?

Hey y'all! I'm getting so anxious waiting!! Do you think they are only notifying us by mail? Or will an email be sent too? I wish they would let us know soon!

So anxious, ugh!!!

I asked and they said you would only be notified by mail. The dashboard will be updated that you were notified but no actual decision will be shown on there.
