UAB MSN FALL 2018

I've seen previous posts about the process of waiting for acceptance or denial letters for the UAB MSN nurse practitioner program! Figured I'd start one for the Fall 2018 semester. I believe we are supposed to find out 6 weeks from yesterday! Anybody know if this is true?

When should we know this term?

I'm estimating beginning of April, since it took about 6 weeks last time.

I also applied to the AG-ACNP track, no secondary option for me. I'm not sure if it will come back to haunt me.

I just looked at my application essay for errors in my APA formatting. Everything looks good from as far as I can tell. Fingers crossed!

I also applied to the AGACNP track! I didn't select a secondary option. This is my first time applying anywhere. My overall GPA is a 3.7 so I didn't take the GRE. I'm hoping my essay was good enough...

I also applied to AGACNP as primary with FNP as a secondary. CVICU, rapid response and vascular access background Good luck everyone.

What is everyone else's experience? 4 years ED/trauma with 2 years of endoscopy sprinkled in here. Some of my coworkers who put FNP first and AGACNP second got their second choice and think it was because their experience was geared more toward that.

I have 5 years total experience, with the last two being in a medical/surgical/cardio ICU. I've worked everything including med/surge, ED, and I've traveled a for a year. GPA comes in close to 3.6. I have taken the GRE, so I submitted it anyway, even though it wasn't the best. I almost wish I hadn't. :(

Hi there, new to this thread but also starting to get anxious about the letter. My experience is 5 years in Pediatric ER and I applied to the Fall 2018 PNP program at UAB. Anyone else on here apply for PNP-Primary Care?

Also a little nervous about my essay after reading this!

Hey everyone! I've been waiting for this post for a very long time! I applied to UAB back in October for the PMHNP and I am very nervous. I'm worried about everything. All of my experience is in psych but I'm a new nurse (1 year) and I'll be done with my BSN in May. So I don't think I'll get in but I tried anyway. I just heard from the other School I applied to and they want an answer before I'll hear back from UAB which is also making me nervous. I'm not sure what to do because UAB is my number one choice. I applied for the dual pnp program as my first choice and primary pnp as my second choice. I really don't have any confidence in getting accepted due to my paper after reading all of the posts and my experience. I'm going on 3 years experience of pediatric OR experience and a year of adult OR experience. A lot of schools don't really count OR experience as acute. So I'm nervous either way. Has anyone been told when decisions would be made by?

Haven't been told per se, but the turnaround time was right at six weeks for fall.

I have 2 years of experience. 1 year of telemetry stepdown and 1 year of travel nursing doing a little bit of everything. Applied to FNP first and AGPCNP as back up. Got my bachelors from UAB and some of my references are SON instructors. Not too confident on my essay though. Really nervous!!
