UAB MSN FALL 2018

I've seen previous posts about the process of waiting for acceptance or denial letters for the UAB MSN nurse practitioner program! Figured I'd start one for the Fall 2018 semester. I believe we are supposed to find out 6 weeks from yesterday! Anybody know if this is true?

Hey, I also applied to th summer 18 cohort and was denied so I've reapplied for fall ‘18. I was told there were no excluding factors for me when I inquired and that it is just one of the most competitive programs at the school with lot of applicants. I had a 3.7 undergrad GPA, have worked in ER for 3 years, cardiac for 2 and a wide range of other areas for an total of 10 years in nursing. I applied to AG ACNP primary choice and AG PCNP second. I have little hope of being accepted this time because my rejection last time was a huge blow. I've been accepted to another program in the meantime but WANT UAB bad! Lol. I did hear they favor AL residents though I don't know if that's true or not. Good luck everyone!!

I am currently in the FNP program at UAB, about to graduate next term. I think I remember mine was about 6 weeks on the dot. This was also in 2016, though.

@Robertsoncs Gpa for summer acceptance was 3.46. Read the summer 2018 thread. So idk what they are factoring in for the decision

I really didn't understand the criteria either. I read the summer ‘18 thread and I had just as good if not better stats than some that were accepted. The only thing I can think is maybe my essay didn't ‘wow'. I rewrote and critiqued the heck out of this last one so hopefully it does the trick. We shall see hopefully we'll all hear in another couple weeks.

Has anyone tried to create a blazernet? A little bit before decisions came out past cohorts were able to create accounts if they were accepted!

How do you do that without a Blazer Student number?

You can either look up your blazernet ID through their website (I forget how I did it) or you can use your SSN.

What about the people who already have blazernet? I couldn't figure out what the previous threads say changed on their home page on blazernet!

I wonder if Good Friday and Easter delayed their decision making? I hope not! The anticipation is killing me! Hope everybody has a happy Easter!
