Hi! I was able to create my BlazerNet ID and password using this link: BlazerID Central Select : I am a current student, or I am a student who has been accepted to UAB. Then Proceed and put in you Banner number (B#) or SSN. and DOB. I'm so excited! But I still want my acceptance letter LOL. I can't wait to meet y'all at orientation!

Sooo I just tried to register using my Blazer ID and DOB... it didn't work. It said ' error ID/DOB COMBINATION NOT found in our records..." Someone else try with a Blazer ID and let us know what happens. BlazerID Central

I applied to FNP, and Adult Gero PC as my backup. I'm cool with either on one.

I was able to establish a BlazerNet ID and pin using my information! But that's it. It wouldn't let me go far. Ooooo I hope I got accepted! *prayer hands emoji* LOL

    UAB MSN FALL 2018

Hey Everyone!! I applied for FNP and AG-PCNP as my second option. I have about 4 years of RN experience- 3 years med-surg/oncology, 1 year MH. I'm hopeful for an acceptance letter. GPA is okay, but I'm confident in my essay (it only took me like 3 months to write haha) and my references are pretty strong. I called last week to see when letters will be sent. I was told end of April. I also received an email today saying letters will be mailed out end of April! Good luck! I also tried the Blazer Net trick by putting in my SSN.. That didn't work.... Anyone gonna be going to school full-time and working full-time with a family? I'm a little anxious about all that. I have friends who went through the program who say it's doable, but I guess I don't wanna be too overwhelmed...

I hate having to take the GRE too! I think Grad programs should get rid of the GRE as a requiremt for admission because not every program requires it. Or it should be based on a minimum GPA.

    I miss floor nursing...I think?

Hi I feel the same way! I worked med-surg/oncology for 2.5 years, and have been in MH case management for 4 months now. The hours are great (M-F 9-5) and we get autonomy, but the hang up is I work with ALL social workers who do not understand nursing. So far it has been a rough transition. Everyone at my old job says I need to come back because they miss me, but floor nursing requires 3-4 12 hour shifts/week, and I can't do that with a young baby. I am considering sticking with my current job for 6 months and then I'll reevaluate. I may consider transferring to clinical nursing like PACU, or an outpatient clinic. It's like being stuck between a rock and a hard place trying to find your niche!
