UAB AMNP 2017

Published

Hey everyone! I'm currently a student at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. I graduate this December and I'll be applying to UAB's AMNP program this Fall for the Spring 2017 class! I hope this group/thread can be used to help each other out through the application process. Also, to anyone currently in the AMNP program, please don't hesitate to drop in and share your application experience! :)

Oh gosh.. Well hopefully us applying early will help in our favor!

The waiting seriously is so hard!

I know... I emailed them again last week lol. They said they wont even look at our apps until October and then interviews will be the week of the 24th.. :/

Oh my word that is literally forever away.

I have applied to the AMNP 2017 Cohort as well! I was also told we would be contacted in October regarding interviews.

Can it be October already....

I literally can't wait anymore!

Does anyone know exactly how Phase 2 of the program works? Like is it all online or hybrid? I'm wondering because I'd like to move back home after the first phase...

Yes! I was told that during phase two I could move back to my home town (2 hrs away) and only required on campus a handful of times. :)

Okay perfect! I hope time keeps flying by lol

Hey everyone! I submitted my application for Spring 2017 a couple of weeks ago. Reading over this thread it looks like I've gotten pretty much the same info as everyone else. I was told that we would know by October 12th if we have an interview! Several people in the 2016 cohort thread said they were offered admission before they left from their interview...

I'm really nervous! My undergrad was in biology/pre-med and then I got my master's in counseling so I haven't really done any shadowing or "medical experience" stuff in the last couple of years. I hope that doesn't count against me

Hey y'all!

Wow, everyone applied so early! I just submitted my application last week, and I am beyond nervous about everything. My GPA is slightly above 3.2, so I didn't take the GRE...I figured maybe my RT experience would help out some. We'll see!! If all fails, I hear there's an accelerated program at USA that might or might not be decent.

Good luck and best wishes to everyone!
