UAB AMNP Spring 2022

Hey everyone! I'm creating this thread for people applying for UAB's AMNP Program of Spring 2022 as a place for us who have questions, advice to give, etc.!

Soooooo because I'm checking my email constantly and acting a little crazy, I decided to stalk last year's AMNP Spring 2021 forum. It looks like, for both the priority and regular deadlines, interview emails were sent out 2.5 weeks after the apps were due. So I'm hoping for next Wednesday, the 23rd for priority? It could be totally different this year though. Y'all let me know if you hear anything! Even if I don't get good news, it'll be nice to know that I can stop refreshing my email hehe

Yes!

I went to the info session yesterday to see if I could get a better idea of interview notifications forpriority deadline and it will be by late next week. Interviews will most likely be online, but it’s still a possibility that they could be on campus.

I read on a previous cohorts forum that a girl heard about an interview around June 21. Could be different this year, but that's when they heard back in the past.

So I've been checking UAB's AMNP website daily just to see if they posted any updates and noticed they changed the program length from 4 semesters to only 3 semesters now! It's a lot more hours in the Summer, but that's so exciting!!

Wow how convenient! So before it was expected that we needed to be on campus full time for the first year, and then we could practice as an RN and do distance learning throughout the remainder of the program. So I wonder how that’s gonna change?

Hey guys! Does anyone know how people they accepted into last year's program? I know they mentioned 40 to 100 applicants, but I feel like that is a large range, and want to get a better feel for how many they actually accept. Good luck to everyone who applied, and hopefully we hear about interviews within the next week or so!! I am so nervous.
